Great seafood and wonderful service. Even though there was a power cut while we arrived we were seated with candlelight and a nice welcoming. The light arrived exactly when the food arrived and it was generous and very tasty.

Be Cool is a lovely little family run restaurant with truly delicious food and homemade lemonade and they even have beer. The setting is authentic and shady, the owners are very nice and as an added bonus, the neighbour’s cat sometime looks in for cuddles...and a meal.More

I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. The food, the staff, everything is incredible. The food is absolutely delicious and the portions great, the Sri lankan breakfast is what I'd definitely recommend the most, followed by the fish curry special. All the food is so...fresh and the chef deserves to have an even bigger restaurant due to her level of cooking. The staff were brilliant too. After going almost every day for our 11 day stay in Trincomalee we got friendly with the staff to a point they would offer us free meals and extras on top too. It truly is an incredible place. I can't implore anyone enough to come and visit this place to eat, the prices are incredible for the level of food. After visiting you won't regret it.More

Sometimes it is tricky to understand how a restaurant you visit manages to be number 1 on Tripadvisor, at Be Cool it is obvious why they are number 1. A sister, brother, cousin run restaurant serving traditional, and utterly delicious, Sri Lankan food, they also...serve a variety of more western dishes for breakfast lunch and dinner. Watching Sister creating the dishes in the open kitchen is an utter joy, and then everything is served by the friendly, smiling, welcoming boys. The fresh seafood dishes are delicious and the rice and noodle Diane’s have just the right amount of spice to remind you that you’re in Sri Lanka. They also have a wide menu of freshly made juices (all fruit, no filler). Try the specials board for the crab and cuttlefish curries. This restaurant and the family deserve all the success they get. I came here with friends because they had the top spot on TripAdvisor, and I enjoyed the food. This was my first time trying Kotturoti, and I liked it. The staff was friendly, and while it took a little while to get the food, it...was worth the wait - since the food was cooked to order, it was hot and fresh. They made sure to ask what spice level I wanted the food, which I appreciated, as well.More

Everything they serve is really good. Breakfast, fresh fish but especially their curry is amazing. Best curry in trincomalee! And the owners are wonderful. While there was a lock down due to corona they still were happily serving us. Very grateful for that!
