We had a very comfortable stay, literally i min away from the beach. Paul is very accomodating and food is superb n a very reasonable price!! Highly recommended !!!

We had an amazing dinner, the best kottu I had so far in Sri Lanka. Fresh fish and vegetables, quick service and cute place too. All perfect. The owner has also been extremely helpful in arranging transport. Very grateful and highly recommended!

If I could give more stars I would. We stayed for 4 nights in ubay and it was amazing. Paul is the perfect host. He Made our stay so incredible. The room is basic and very clean. His Food is the best in all Trincomalee....Definitly try his kothu! I would even say the best kothu in Sri lanka! He also made us lobster ( on demand) and it was one of the most delicious lobsters we ever had.More

We had a great dinner with good food and very friendly staff. Our young kids (7, 4 & 2 years old) loved the soup, we enjoyed calamari with mashed potatoes and penne with shrimps. We would definitely recommend this cozy restaurant!

You will be hard pushed to find a restaurant with better service and better food. I will most definitely recommend trying out the Sri Lankan cuisine with the genuine spice level. It’s spiced perfectly for maximum flavour , not heat. If you prefer the food...a bit less spicy, the chef will adjust to the western pallet. Staff and owner are friendly and service minded.More

We came here to have seafood especially. The food was good.. But as we were locals, I wouldn't say the food was great because I've tasted better seafood in Sri Lanka. The owner was friendly. The prices are comparatively exaggerated than Colombo for the tourists.

Definetly one of the Best Restaurant in the area. The food is delicious and the service is really friendly and good. We were for 1 week in Nilaveli Beaach and we ended up going to this restaurant for at least 5 times, everything we tried...was really good (Prawns, Grilled Fish, Calamari, Salads, Kottu, etc.......) We came to Ubay following the Tripadvisor rating and it was really worth it. Fresh seafood and very well cooked. One night we had prawns soup and cuttle fish, on the second night we took the seafood plate and we bearly managed to eat all!...Many shrimps, 2 sea crabs, 1 lagoon crab, 1 mulled fish, cuttle fish served with fries, rice and very tasty salad mix. Best seafood in Sri Lanka! Chef can also offer extra lobster for fair price :)More
