You'll never find a better burger place. This is a fun place to be with the best food in town. Try one of their many burgers (I recommend the Olive burger) or sandwiches (the Turkey is the best!!!). I've never had a bad experience here, the staff are amazing and Paula will always make you feel welcomed.

The burgers were incredible. They are huge and cooked perfectly. We ordered 8 burgers for take out and they were ready in 45 minutes. The only thing that could have made it better is if a menu was available online so you could call ahead. HIGHLY recommend.

Atmosphere is warm and the regulars seem very comfortable. Would be great to include one or two foods that would be a healthy fare.

We stop at the Thirsty Whale every time we visit the U.P. (at least twice a year). Our burger and fries were awesome. We visited on July 3rd and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The owner cooked our food to perfection! There were 8 of us in our group and we had great service! We'll definitely stop by again!

Had a great meal of yummy burgers and fries and good beer too! Can't wait to go back! Even our grandkids said it was the best burger they ever had and loved the deep fried potato chips!

Great spot to stop for drinks. Haven't eaten here but I've heard the burgers are great. Try the $1 pudding shots!

Huge and tasty hamburgers, fish fries. It's a little hole in the wall kind of place, well known with the locals. Friendly homey atmosphere, great food and service. Nothing fancy, but worth the stop.

When people ask me where to get a bite locally, I always suggest the Whale! Best burger around and a friendly, relaxed, tavern atmosphere.

The "Whale" is a local hotspot famous for it's excellent beef and specialty burgers and everything to go with it including homemade soups and Friday night fish fries. Service is great and people are friendly there, especially Paula, the owner, who is loved by everyone. There is an outdoor sand court for volleyball with leagues and tournaments where the locals...
