Actually, this was the only decent restaurant we found in Petoskey but sure there are other good ones! The Walleye was wonderful and Chicken Marsala was good! Service was excellent!

We have eaten at City Park Grill several times over the last six years. Some things have been consistent. Those are the historic building, the crowd, and the rather slow service. The food on the other hand has considerably varied in quality with no dish...More

We have had many meals here on our way through the lower peninsula. It is always busy and reservations any time of year are advised. Staff are great! I always count on a fresh grilled whitefish meal— no sauce, no nuts , no breading —...More

Happy hour is the best! Cheap drinks and 1/2 off appetizers, until 6:30. I had a big glass of wine and an awesome calamari dish, all for $10. And they bring out fresh, hot biscuits that are to die for!!!

Atmosphere is very historic...maybe not exactly like when Hemmingway hung out but still retained some historic charm. Food was real good....biscuits were delicious! Server was attentive. Couldn't ask for more.

Certainly the reviews suggest this an awesome place....yeah not so much. It’s very simple, the service was slow and non existent. The food was NOT delicious and our food was barely warm, although the biscuits were good. It’s not a good value for your money,...More

Description
City Park Grill, one of Petoskey’s oldest buildings, was originally constructed in 1875. McCarty Hall, as it was then known was a malesonly billiard parlor that offered cigars and “intoxicating beverages.” Today, City Park Grill maintains a loyal clientele with house-made cuisine, focusing on locally procured produce, meats and lake fish, an awardwinning wine collection and house-made biscuits straight from the oven
