Tremendous variety, friendly service and excellent value. Three mornings in a row! Cinnamon rolls and cookies were delicious!

I ordered the stuffed French Toast this morning, and received the regular French Toast. When I notified the server and the woman at the counter who took my order, I received excuses instead of an apology or an offer to fix it. Not the first time this has happened to us. Customer service is lacking at Pumpernickel's!

Passing through the area, we stopped in town for a couple hours to explore, lunching at Pumpernickel's. It is informal, yet has a pleasant dining area in which to pause while waiting for the meal. Preferring Vegetarian/Vegan (due to cholesterol), we both ordered the Vegetable Quesadilla. It was one of the most tasty vegetable quesadillas we have had. The server... More

My wife and I decided to stop here for breakfast. Everything was great! The wait staff was extremely friendly. They had live music. Not loud and obnoxious but just casual. Very nice touch. Probably one of the must try breakfast places in this neat little town.

Dined here with some girlfriends this past weekend while on our mini-getaway. We all got some sort of omlet and coffee. The biscuit and cheesy potato hash that came with the omlet was to die for. Prices were very reasonable and we were able to sit outside on their patio which was nice. All in all, would recommend Pumpernickel's and... More

Pumpernickels has been operating in Saugatuck for decades. The place has wonderful fresh baked items--including the not to be missed cinnamon roles and walnut squares. The breakfast selection is very large as is the lunch options. You do need to stand in line to place your order and often the lines are long, but it moves quickly. Many vegetarian options.... More
