We stopped in a sweet little second hand shop along Portage and the shopkeeper recommended the Palace Restaurant across the street commenting that we should try the queso with flour tortillas. I chucked that we were looking for local flavor but she said we wouldn’t...be disappointed and she was accurate! By far the best I’ve had! Great service, food was served promptly, atmosphere was festive for the Halloween season and those flour chips were amazing! I had the Portage tacos which were also perfection!More

After seeing the locks it was time for supper. Did not dissapoint. The food was fabulous. On our trip up north we ate at 3 mexican food places . This was the best by far.

Not much of an atmosphere, however the food and service was good. Had the fajitas which were good. Had to pay extra for chips and salsa

There is a small outdoor seating area. Inside they are seating customers at a decent distance. With our order of queso we received both flour and corn tortilla chips. They were both very good. The single fajita was more than enough for me.

Honestly the best Mexican American food I’ve had in years. It was so fresh and perfectly seasoned. Original marg and chips and salsa are a must! Service was also impeccable.

Dennis our server was excellent. Good margaritas and burritos. We were fortunate to get a table for 2 outside. Chose this place after the way we were treated by the rude hostess at Karl's Cusine!

This place has been around for over 100 years. The current owners have done a great job of preserving that legacy. The food was good - the memu was limited due to the pandemic.

Parking limited. Margaritas were tasty $8 medium size with upgrade tequila. We saw they had their taco plate that comes with 2 tacos, and had 2 choices: Maple bacon chicken, and Bourbon steak bits with mushrooms. Both are same price $15. I wanted a plate...with one of each , but they refused. Bad management when they are same price?!! So had to order 2 plates and then switch with my wife one each to get our combo we wanted. Both are delicious even if overpriced.More

We had a very late dinner, so there was no wait, even though all of the seating was separated every other table. There was a small wait, we got the nacho plate and potato skins, both excellent. Brian the server was efficient and not pesky....I saw the bus person quickly cleaning tables and benches as soon as patrons left their tables.More
