This establishment is a real gem in lovely Campbellville. Quiet lunch requirement.

We were immediately seated in a calm area, menus provided, specials described and drink orders taken all in one seamless moment. Excellent service. I believe our server’s name was “Pimo” however he was aided by two equally capable assistants. We didn’t order anything exotic, this was a conversation lunch. The food, —house soup and a special wrap, plus very good coffee, was excellent. We will return for a full course dinner and our expectations are high, based upon this excellent first impression.

Taking a chance can have amazing results

My husband and I had dinner here last night and every expectation was surpassed. From the ‘farm to table’ freshness lending itself to the quality of the food to the personal attentive service that we received, the place hands down cares as much about their food as they do the people fortunate enough to enjoy it. The servers are knowledgeable in the preparation of the food as well as the drink pairings to ensure the overall experience is second to none. We have already booked a reservation to bring the family back next week. My daughter is applying for server jobs while in university and I want her to experience what true personal service looks like. Looking forward to introducing the family to Tyler, Patrick and the rest of the Team that made our visit so enjoyable.

Amazing Food, Amazing Staff

Risposta is one of my favourite restaurants, I always receive the best service and the food never disappoints. Patrick is excellent with allergy accommodations and always ensures you have the best experience even with take out during these difficult times! If you’re looking for a delicious meal, stop by for some take out and venture in once we can visit restaurants again. Truly, Risposta is worth the drive! Thank you!

We recently had lunch and if there was 0 rating, it would get it. The entire dining experience was awful, no specials, food extremely expensive for a lunch menu, no soup except gazpacho. Waiter didn’t even remember we had sparkling water and tried to refill glasses with regular in glass where I still had sparkling until I reminded him . Music was loud asked to turn down, we were the only ones having lunch and yet order was wrong. The mussels we had were stringy and dry. None were plump or flavourful Almost believe these were frozen and then served to us. Artisan bread was burnt. House wine watery. Never will recommend this place.

We have had many really good meals here and I’d describe us as regulars. Such was not the case on a recent visit to the patio after lockdown. Plenty of staff milling about but took 20 mins before we were noticed. Got an ice bucket with the wine in it but no glasses. Really didn’t appreciate the server leaning in with a mask below his nose. Ordered a pretty basic pizza with three additional items and it was as if the chef said “screw them, they’ll get what I make them.” So no green olives, no anchovies, no mushrooms, just a pizza with tomatoes and pepperoni which was probably pre made. The in salada caprese was lovely. The mussels were cold and just tasted reheated. All that for $148 and the worst service we’ve ever had. Will rethink a return visit since there are other local options which are less expensive and quite frankly better.

After carefully reading your concerns and as per your own words, considered yourself a Regular at Risposta Bistro and having experinced many good meals... 💯💯 i ask you.. Baxtergrl why not share these positive dining experince with our regulars and guests?????? Much more heart stricken to me is that you never allowed us the opportunity ito make things right after all your Good Meals mentoined. In Your POST. . The RB Team is both open to positive and negative criticism from ALL of our quest to allow our faboulas community and the Food industry to know about private dinning experince... We never will consider ourself perfect as human nature understands that everone makes mistakes as they strive for perfectoin🤔🙏 I make a further note of a very INTERSTING point - - - - - - that you pointed out the cost of $148.00💵 totaling up to a food and Alcohol order consisting of 2 Cezar salada, mussels a bottle of wine along with *if not mistaken * a complamintary birthday dessert sent to you by our team.🎉🎉🙏 Realistically the cost of this was $58 to $59 dollars per person before applicable taxes not a bad value in a well sought of locatoin.. In my opoin of course... 🤔💯 I understand that our AWARD winning Exextive Chef straight out of Monaco and trained under highly well sought leaders in the heart of the French Rivera would of been happy to resolve all issues at hand. I understand that our Farm to Table organic approch is costly, along with the veiw of Cod-19 Reopening comes to the RB Team as a new hight in understanding that communicatoin is the key to all factors that arise in 2020 on. As a frequent customer of Risposta I can say without any hesitation that this restaurant is a must experience spot. It’s not just great food but a totally exceptional dining experience, the people , service food etc.. but on this past weekend they went way above and beyond.,, Nick knowing that I have been dealing with serious health issues on top of the pandemic saw that we were booked for dinner and decided to give me a special night . We were treated to a private room to keep me from other people , a special night began the minute we walked into the room set for dinner for two , strawberries and white chocolate and a bottle of champagne greeted us as a gift from Risposta. Followed by the most amazing meal , Cesar salad , bruschetta, a perfectly cooked tenderloin steak with shrimp, mashed potatoes and vegetables also done to perfection. Marbled cheesecake with candied walnuts for dessert. I cannot even describe what this night did for me and will never be able to thank the Risposta team enough for an amazing evening. We will continue to be regulars and HIGHLY recommend you try this restaurant if you want a truly memorable night . And if you get a chance to experience one of the wine makers nights DO NOT MISS IT !!. Gary Steel and Paul Kupferschmidt

Exceptionally surprising!!!

Wow!! What an experience. Had the pleasure of dining here this past Friday evening (September 17th) and was completely blown away from start to finish. It was a birthday celebration so pretty important occasion and we gambled on a new restaurant to try. Well let’s just say my wife and I can not wait to return. Bruschetta was different and soooo flavorful! The cured prosciutto on the Caesar salad was amazing! We shared the penne ala vodka and sea bass; flavors and presentation spot on! Tyler informed us about how everything is made on site and farmed to table as much as possible. Let’s get into what made the night extra memorable, simply put into one word: Tyler!!!! His guest service skills are beyond comprehension. I’ve worked in high high end hospitality for almost 25 years (Four Seasons, O&B), I haven’t seen his level of personalized professionalism ever before. I’ve been surrounded by professional servers my entire career but he somehow finds a way to make each table feel just as special as the next. And it was a very busy night, he was in the zone and we watched closely. He used all tables by name, not just us, never wrote a thing down, was moving quick but maintained his level of professionalism never cutting corners. I’m not sure if he’s part owner or not, and this is no knock to your restaurant, but we were pleasantly surprised to receive that level of service in a small town establishment. He honestly treated us like VIP but realized quickly that he treats everyone like that. Please feel lucky and thankful to have him represent you because there’s no question that his skill set and value would make him famous in the city! Well Done!!!

Great atmosphere and food was delicious

Found this beautiful bistro online and was halfway for family and I to meet after not seeing each other during the past few years. Campbellville is a lovely place and we will be back to enjoy. We were taking well care of by Alex, Dimitri and the Chef all evening. When I asked for plant based options, they were over accommodating, making sure to create something very special each course. We had a flavourful roasted tomato soup, carrot lox (which was excellent), gluten free pasta with vegetables, fresh fruit bowl and an Americano coffee to finish. My family member is not plant based and also ordered a pizza with prosciutto and gorgonzola cheese which she enjoyed. Alex was attentive, ready to please, friendly and more than accommodating. We would highly recommend this establishment to family and friends. Be prepared to pay more ( $100 each plus tip, no alcohol) for the experience. We really enjoyed our time and our meal at Risposta Bistro.

This is a tough review for me because we had such high expectations based on the majority of the reviews & the price tag, I'm going to assume it just wasn't our night but the over $250 bill for 2 is a tough pill to swallow considering our experience. Overall the food was bland and average. The concept is great, but didn't translate into the taste of food or the atmosphere. We asked for a slice of cucumber for our gin, no cucumber in the kitchen. We asked for the fat fries, no fries available. not the best start. Grilled calamari you really had to eat with everything else on the plate otherwise it was completely tasteless, mussels & boar penne were just about the same, there was nothing exciting to the palate. I was contemplating the Wagyu and glad I didn't spend the $26/oz because the $75 Beef Tenderloin was nothing to get excited about, best part was the garlic aioli, the potatoes and the Red Wine Jus to make the beef tasty. I will say though, the beef was incredibly tender and you could cut it with a fork. Brought left overs home and ended up going in the garbage, sadly. Presentation of plates was beautiful and the glass of wine was tasty. Dessert options were tiramisu & vanilla cheesecake, because of the ladies reaction of the tiramisu beside us I choose to save my $ on that one. Needless to say we won't be going back or recommending.

Spectacular Take Out!

Was visiting a family member near Campbellville last weekend and made a conscious effort to to see if Risposta (one of my favorite restaurants) was open for take out. Glad I did, as I ordered a wonderful dinner that we are still raving about today! I ordered two antipasti, calamari griglia and mushroom crostini. The main dishes were the supreme dinner for two and the vegetarian primo package for two. The calamari were tender and grilled to perfection! Every ingredient on the mushroom crostini were fresh and delicious. The supreme dinner is a combo of free range chicken, potatoes , gazpacho and vegetables. The marriage of chicken with these items was a spectacular choice and truly a grand tour for the palate. Chicken was moist and well seasoned while the gazpacho offered a wonderful contrast to the meal itself. Loved it! The vegetarian primo package is perfect for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. This platter is filling and delectable. The penne was perfectly al dente and the San Marzano ragu was just lovely. This combo also includes eggplant parmesan that was wonderfully prepared with lots of love and baked to perfection. The combinations does take a little more time to prepare, but I simply came back to pick it up... was worth the wait! Once again Risposta did not disappoint! They are consistently great and man I was happy to be back!

Amazing Patio!!! Tyler is magnificent

Dear management and ownership, Congratulations on a fantastic job with your patio. It really has paid off and shown your efforts to enhance the atmosphere of the restaurant. Food was delicious; the Caesar dressing is fantastic and pizzas were divine. That being said, what really has made me want to take the time and post this review was Tyler…Tyler…and Tyler. I’m not really sure where he came from hahaha but that individual needs to be recognized!!! My friends and I were not only blown away but actually stunned at his skill set and level of professionalism. Not only did he take our order, drink order, handle all modifications without writing a thing down, he also remembered and referred to us all by first name from start to finish. It actually felt like we all knew him by the end of the experience. And it’s not like it was slow, because it was a busy dinner and he was moving but always seemed completely at ease and in control. He made what was just going to be a night out with friends, a dining experience I think we’ll never forget. We would come back just for that service experience alone because I can honestly say nobody is providing that anywhere else in any city at that level. Thank you so much!!!!

A Dinner to remember!!!!

What an amazing hidden gem of a place. I came for dinner this past weekend with a colleague and we were both blown away. We had a pizza as an appetizer which was so fresh and flavorful and the caprese which was equally as tasty. We shared the sea bass and fettuccine for main course and the fresh pasta was heavenly. Our server Tyler, which I’ll touch on in a moment, surprised me with a birthday tiramisu for dessert which was out of this world good. Just when the night couldn’t be better, Tyler continuously proved otherwise. I’ve never…..EVER…experienced service to his level. He was always collected, organized, and on top of every detail. From start to finish he referred to us by name. Who does that?!? Nobody!!! It was actually refreshing as well to see him not wearing a mask. He explained his medical exemption and did have a mask in case we felt discomfort, which we never did. Good for you Tyler for going above expectations and providing us an experience. And on a side note, he’s got the most gorgeous set of hair don’t dare get rid of it hahaha

Have been to Risposta many times, great service from Tyler with no complaints. However I have picked up a few takeout's and the last take out was awful I put it into the garbage and made my own food. Funny thing is before my husband got through the door with our take out ( I live in campbellville, so not far ) Tyler had left a message asking how my food was ( I picked up the massage later that night, that has never happened before. We had not even opened the food before the message was left. I contacted the bistro and they voiced how they take pride in there food. I was asked what was wrong with the food and I explained sent a picture and that was that. No follow up. Really surprised at them.

I'm so sorry for a reply not reaching you sooner. This is Tyler personally responding to this by the way and I apologize about the lack of standard with the appetizers. I know it was some time ago but remember that one of the items was the fried calamari. We were very thankful this was brought to our attention because it made us realize that this particular item for take out should be prepared with caution. As you know when a lid is sealed over hot food moisture is created and would thus drop back down onto the food making what should be a crispy coating perhaps not the case. It is unfortunate we had to be reminded of this lesson through your experience but would love the chance to rectify the situation. Call the restaurant any time to discuss further 905-854-1234. We do stand behind our product as even though no business can be perfect we can perfectly handle any situation negative or positive. Also i apologize for the quickness of my phone call. I usually wait an hour but it was later in the evening and knew you both were local guests so i figured 30 minutes would have sufficed. Definitely didn't want to bother you past 9:30ish. Thank you so much though for your post and hope to chat soon.

Randomly ended up at this beautiful restaurant. Outside was very welcoming with the small park and “memorabilia “ area of an old truck, horse wagons and other cool knick nacks that make for a great background of a photo. There is also a playground for kids and many outside eating areas. The eating areas outside looked to be very private from one another and also covered. There was also a bar outside. Once we entered into the restaurant we were welcomed and walked to our seats. We were informed the menu was specific to what the chief was able to use from the ingredients picked from there own garden outback. The menu we were told changes weekly. My wife and I both ordered a pasta dish, and wow was the food amazing! The penna alla vodka was amazing and the pork belly fried up in it was really good. My wife wanted a chicken parmigiana meal and although not on the menu the waiter had no issue requesting this from the chief who also has no issue making this meal for my wife! Both meals arrived HOT which to me is very important and plentiful as we both struggled to finish the complete meal. One add I would recommend though would be some sort of bread with the pasta so the delicious sauce could be soaked up but this is only a wish. We will no doubt be coming back to this fantastic restaurant as the vibe, service and food were all 5 star.

This is my first review for this wonderful restaurant which is far to long... If I am having lunch to meet a friend or dinner with my husband this is our first choice. It may be a little on the high side cost wise but the food is delicious and worth every cent.... The service and knowledge of wines is extensive, be ready to enjoy... Bon a petit
