We had a fabulous meal in the restaurant. The goats cheese and beetroot starter was amazing. There is a very good balance between country pub and fine dining which makes the experience very relaxing but not pretentious.

Walking from Henley to Sonning along the Thames path and stopped here for refreshments. A nice pub with engaging staff. It’s a free house, so something different on tap. A good looking menu but we only had a quick snack of chipolatas in honey and...More

Description
Oxfordshire Restaurant of the Year 2016. The Baskerville Lower Shiplake remains a traditional village inn with a 'proper' bar, a delightful restaurant, four star accommodation, a beautiful garden and ambitions beyond its AA rosette. With Kevin Hannah and head chef Jamie Herridge at the helm, its outstanding customer service is matched only by its creative, seasonally changing menus. Fresh, ethically and locally sourced produce lie at the heart of its modern but classically based dishes which offer a memorable experience.
