While on a day trip with a friend to Warren State Park Sand Dunes we drove through this small town and saw the Viola Cafe and said if we had time we would love to go back and have lunch there! We had a full day planned and weren't sure if it would fit in time wise. We are avid... More

The service reminded me of the little family restaurants that covered or nation before the introduction of the fast food craze of the 60's. Mom & Pop person performed service the service of 5 star restaurant. The food was perfect, like fairies and little people had cooked everything over open fires, and hearths. My pancakes were the best I have... More

Great Breakfast place and Good home cooking... great baked goods too. Fast service and good food are the mainstays of this quaint home style cafe. We make it a point to stop in whenever we are in the neighborhood.

So, when 2 friends from St. Joseph stopped by one early Friday morning, we headed there to finally check them out. We were seated immediately, with 2 other tables already dining. We promptly... My husband and I were hungry, and it was Saturday morning. We were in the mood for a really good, wholesome breakfast and stopped at The Viola Cafe. It was everything we hoped it would be. The restaurant is cute and quaint, it was bustling with local people and the service was friendly. Prices are reasonable, and the best thing... More

Cute little diner on the main street, downtown. Enjoyed a great breakfast of Denver omelet and blueberry pancakes. Neat very old interior design, excellent server. I was able to congratulate some Chicago Cubs fans who were returning from the World Series win. A great friendly experience we will return again on our next visit to west Michigan. The diner is... I had breakfast there with my son for the last three days. I live in South Bend and we do not have any place as good as Viola cafe. My son enjoyed various kinds of pancakes and French toast, and I had three different egg meals: Eggs and steak, eggs and sausage and egg Benedict. All delicious and reasonable priced.... More
