We enjoyed a wonderful meal of lobster bisque soup, and Mediterranean Sea Bass plus a fabulous double chocolate torte. Service was excellent by Amanda. Great dining experience.

PepeNero moved from their small space in "The Commons" to a much larger and very well appointed new space in the next building. This was our first visit to the new venue with its expanded menu and it didn't disappoint! The group tried the veal, salmon and pasta and they were wonderful. there's a very nice wine list with selections... More

Personally I'm so disappointed that I hadn't been to this wonderful restaurant sooner! We began with the Zuppa del giorno (Mushroom venutata) and the Stilton...fabulous! Then for the 'Primi' we chose the Linguine! 'Secondi' Vitello (boneless top loin veal scalloppine) Pesce Del Giorno which was a Mediterranean Sea Bass that day! OUTSTANDING...and for dessert do not miss the "Affogado del... More

Wonderful Italian fare in a fabulous setting. Great selection, all high-quality. Located in the renovated old state hospital which provides the opportunity to browse and shop before or after. Highly recommended!

A little hidden in the Commons, but what a great meal. Very attentive service and good wine selection. Recommended by locals and we consider it one of the best in traverse city.

We ate here on a snowy night. Here is what we liked: - an interesting tasty Italian salami and cheese and nut/olive appetizer board for sharing - pretty atmosphere in the restaurant - homemade pasta, I liked the agnolotti stuffed with cheese and mushrooms - good Italian wine with lots of choices on the wine list - the homemade soup... I was excited to try this somewhat new restaurant in Traverse City for a special dinner with my partner, so I made sure to make a reservation. While I don't speak Italian it was kind of neat -- and authentic -- when the maître d' answered the telephone in Italian. A couple of things. The restaurant is a little difficult... More

We were scheduled for a tour of the TC state hospital and came to PepeNero for lunch. The service was great and the food was awesome. The scallops were delicious that were in my husband's linguini. I loved my chicken salad. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed in our dinning experience. Started by ordering drinks, only to be told they do not have Bourbon, not that they were out, but that they don't stock it. Asked for a hot tea, no they don't offer tea. How about just hot water with lemon and honey? No honey, but our server Mary (who was very good) found... More

We have dined at PepeNero twice in the past two weeks and it has been a great experience on both occasions. PepeNero has moved to a much larger location in the Commons and the food is still excellent. A Veal dish with Marcela wine, Mushrooms and White Raisins was great. On my last visit, the Wild Caught Scottish Salmon was... More
