Sister establishment of the original in Mexicantown ( near the Ambassador Bridge), with the same outstanding food and prices. Be prepared to wait a bit on the weekend, but worth it for sure. Also be prepared to eat - the portions are huge, but you can always take a box home. :-)

I was completely unimpressed. Standard Mexican-ish fare, completely unexciting. There are other better, cheaper Mexican/Latin restaurants in the immediate area. And more authentic.

I have always enjoyed coming to this restaurant in the past but the food the last two times was not good.

Great value for the money, and good food. We always come here when we are in town. Cold beer and fun, family atmosphere.

Always when travelling to this area I take the time for a true Mexican dinner in here. Excellent guacamole and margueritas, my favorite choices. Also burritos are very tasteful and well served. Only downside is that restaurant has no windows, so you feel really immersed in the environment.

Authentic mexican food, great service and wonderful staff. Expect to wait if you're around the typical meal times, but it's well worth it. Has been a staple in downtown Detroit for years, so glad we get to have our fix in the suburbs. If you want great food at great prices, this is your only stop!

Chips and salsa are immediately served, at no charge. 2 of us ordered the combination platters, The Arizonian, Two people in our party are vegetarians. One of them ordered the Village Vegetarian, which was not served with rice & beans. The other ordered the Platillo Vegetarian. All of us enjoyed our meal and all but one of us could not... More

We always love our food when we visit Mexican Village, but our service can be spotty when we go. We either get good service, or we seem to always get zero service at all.

My wife and I went with another couple as this was his favorite Mexican restaurant. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table on a Thursday evening (6:00 p.m.) but the wait was well worth it. Since I was driving I did not take advantage of the Margaritas that was being served. Next time I will make sure I... More

After a nice afternoon at the movies watching the movie Sully we decided to stop at Mexican Village in Shelby Township for a nice meal. Our server Lynn came to our table and asked what we wanted to drink. She was very cold and not friendly at all. We each ordered a beer. When she came back with our beer... More
