Our family of five tried about everything on the menu, even the "Duck Soup" (Czarnina) AKA: Blood of Goose or Duck soup! While we were there a man and woman who looked like they just walked out of a polish time machine from 100 years...More

Decided to pull of the expressway with an hour to go until we got home, and drove the 7 miles out of the way in the rain to Polonus. Had heard about it from friends who live on the West Side of Detroit and we...More

Went with friends, young man ordered the Polish Feast, friend ordered meatloaf, I got Pierogies and Kielbasa and Beets: all good. Selection of vodkas, beer, and wine. Family style home cooking: nothing elegant, but all good, good portions, reasonable prices, very friendly service.

Arrived at about 6:30 p.m for dinner. 6 in our group. Everyone ordered a different meal and had no complaints. Very authentic tasty Polish food. Especially liked the stuffed cabbage, potato pierogi and the sweet cabbage as well as the Cucumber side. Serving sizes were...More

I am only giving this restaurant an average rating even though it deserves better mainly for the poor service. They only had one waitress working and you can see that she was very overwhelmed even though they were not that busy when we arrived for...More

The food is delicious, ordered stuffed cabbage with mashed potatoes, beets, sauerkraut, and mushroom soup. Mushroom soup is always featured on Sunday. the homemade chicken soup is also good, with homemade noodles and chunks of chicken. The BIGGEST problem is that they are ALWAYS short...More

I was not overly impressed with this restaurant. The waitress was slow and seemed to have had an attitude. The food was OK, and since I am not Polish nor have I ever been to Poland I can't say if this is "authentic" or not,...More

This is the food I grew up on. My grandparents were from Poland and this is as authentic and as real as it gets. I loved every bite. Went with three others, all had something different and everyone left full and happy. I highly recommend...More

One of the most authentic Polish restaurants in the Detroit area (unless you go to Hamtramck). The food is great, just like Grandma used to make. Daily specials on soups, dinners. Don't go "after church" on early Saturday evening, the place is packed.
