I got hungry for Mexican food- drove out of my way and wasn't disappointed. Service excellent- food unique ( I mean that in a good way). 😎

I'm not a big fan of restaurants that have floors that stick to my feet. That being said, we tried it out for happy hour and some small bites. The margaritas were very good. The happy hour food bar was practically non-existent during our visit, and no one seemed interested in replenishing it. So we didn't have a good opportunity... More
My husband and I ate dinner here late (about 8:30 PM) on a Saturday night. The restaurant was about half full. The service was great and food was delicious. The combo platters (we tried #6 and #8) were generously large and really tasty. We would definitely stop here again if passing through Fridley.
We arrived in Fridley on a Friday evening and were not familiar with the area so we really didn't know where to head for dinner. La Casita was almost next door to our hotel and the parking lot was full, so we figured this was a good sign. We were not disappointed. The tacos and salsa that they serve as... More
The La Casita Mexican restaurant on 50th and Central is my favorite! The food is delicious and the wait staff are very friendly and conscientious about refilling your water or soda glass. If you want more chips, how does the food tastes. You feel like you are a valued customer and that they also enjoy working there. So I try... More
Been going here since I was as a kid... Now in my 30's. Still is fantastic. The atmosphere seems very authentic. The cheese dip is wonderful along with the free chips and salsa! The wait staff were very friendly and kept our drinks topped off. I was in a group of 8 and we had extremely wonderful service! If you... More
We eat here about once a month, always on Tuesdays for their 2 for 1 margarita special. Portions are a good size and the food is good. I did notice that the chips are now thicker and not as good as they used to be, but otherwise we have no complaints except that we always have that stuffed feeling when... More
This is one of our "go to places" for a good mexican meal. The Happy Hour is awesome, the chips, salsa and queso are awesome. Our favorite are the Chimichanga's (ground beef) with the green sauce or with caso blanca. Another favorite is the Pollo Fundido.
Have eaten here many times. The food is good as is the service. The slushy margarita from the machine seemed a bit watered down. On our recent trip we noticed a change in the complimentary chips. The chips were always thin and warm and fresh. This last time they were time they were thick and cold. Definitely did not seem... More
The Heavy Table summed it up perfectly "La Casita is a portrait hidden in the attic of an eternally young Chi-Chi's." There's a snack buffet available at the bar during happy hour and big margaritas, like you'd expect. Consider the carne asada, but ask them to hold the bacon.
