Who knew a really good restaurant could be found off the beaten path near a quiet small town? We rented a lake house nearby on Turtle Lake and decided to drive the few miles (really close by) to Lonesome Pine restaurant. It is lovely, has a playground for kids and yet the food is really good! LP has a full... More

Keep alert so you do'nt miss the turn! You'll have a second chance a mile or two further on. There is plenty of parking space. This warm welcome place is unique not just in Deerwood as it's off the beaten track by miles, on the lake it is scenic even covered with snow and at -28C. We arrived after a... More

We've had dinner here many times and we always love the food and service. Drinks are good and the log,'north woodsy' decor is tasteful and cozy. Put this place on your bucket list!

I've been going to the Lonesome Pine for over 30 years, primarily due to the fact it is the the only restaurant on Bay Lake (besides Rutgers) and because they have good pizza. However, beware of the average dinner menu and the high prices. Stick with the basics...spaghetti, burgers, etc. The Walleye is good. The prime rib on special is... More

Nice place to eat and drinks. Can get very loud in the bar. Busy on the weekends in the summertime. You can boat to this place also on Bay Lake.

We have been going to the Lonesome Pine for quite a while. I had the best French cut ribeye of my life here. Unfortunately the food has gone down recently. The pasta side dish is good. The pizza is good. We don't come for the prime rib anymore. The brandy Alexander's are excellent. One of the last times we went... More

We arrived here just as the restaurant opened and they were ready for business. Service was great and the food was also good. On the day we went they had an all-you-can-eat Walleye fish special. The walleye was cooked perfectly and was served with nicely tender brussels sprouts. The other order we placed was for a small beef pizza. The... More
