I know this is a very popular restaurant, so I was a bit concerned that we wouldn't get in, but the lunch hour is definitely not the busy time. We were able to get in and sit at a table immediately. Our food was fantastic. I had a Chimichanga that was perfectly done. We enjoyed looking up the names of... More

This used to be a great, authentic Mexican restaurant. The food is mostly ok, but you don't get much for your money. Most of the dishes that we ordered didn't have anything on the side. No rice or beans. The chips and salsa are free, but you'll be charged for refills. My daughter's burrito was super dry, like they forgot... More

The place looks kind of scruffy, but adorable and authentic. Tucked away in a residential neighbourhood away from the beaten touristy path. Surprisingly cheap.

This place is totally awful on so many levels. EVERYTHING is very dirty. I walked past the kitchen to the restroom...fortunately saw nothing crawling but would't have been surprised. The kitchen is dirty as well. I honestly don't know why the health dept hasn't shut them down! The food was just ok. Service was good. I know I will never... More

I was there recently for the second time. The enchilada sauce is hands down the best I have ever tasted! Service is great too.

i have grown up on the food at pepitos and it has just gotten worse over time. tonight was my final night eating there. i ordered the taco/ enchilada combo and asked for the lettuce and tomato in the side, i was sharing my food with a child, and i was charged and extra 0.50. yes, 2 quarters aren't much... We just finished lunch at Papito's. I had a burrito with beef and black beans, served encellada style (topped with cheese and mole sauce), recommended by our server. My wife had the same thing, only with chicken. Both were absolutely delicious! Salsa and chips was served when we first arrived. The salsa were not a chunky style, but we're quite... More

This is the worst restaurant in the Twin Cities. I ordered floutas, the dish I was served looked like someone was once told what floutas are but had never seen or eaten them before. Everything has canned olives on it, completely bizarre. I ordered a quesadilla last time I was here and was served a cracker with baked cheese and... More

I had a combination plate of a soft taco and an enchilada. Both were very good but the cheesy, gooey deliciousness of the queso dip is to die for. Best chips, salsa and queso in town.

We had dinner here last week and we were really surprised by the poor quality of the food. The service was great but the food was not. We've visited this neighborhood gem for over 25 years and we were very disappointed with our meal. We ordered a chicken tostadas-the chicken and black beans were refrigerator cold and the cheese was... More
