We happened upon this place and decided to try it. It is an old time drive-in from 1948 with an interesting story. We wanted fried chicken, so we tried theirs and it was wonderful. The service was quick. They offer daily specials which beg us to return and are inexpensive. We took home a piece of Banana Cream Pie and... More

Standard family restaurant comfort food, served with enough grease and salt to satisfy the masses. A long way from fine dining, but nonetheless a local institution that has a passionate clientele and offers a good value.

Came here twice for breakfast while in town for a convention. The $2.49 breakfast can't be beat: 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and potatoes. (before 0830) More than enough food for most people. I recommend the fried potatoes rather than the hash browns . The biscuits and gravy is made with Italian sausage and is delicious. The pancakes are thick and... More

Peerless diner food and atmosphere. 1000 times better than the chains. Come here a couple times and the wait staff will know your order!

This is a Minneapolis institution, ostensibly since 1948, so my wife and I thought we'd try breakfast there. Not sure why it has such a reputation. The service was unremarkable - slow even - and my omelette was smallish and runny (not something I requested). The hashbrowns so lacked flavor that I left them entirely alone after my first two... This was my first time to dine at this restaurant. Spotted it while driving past and delighted to have done so. My wife and I enjoyed freshly prepared and tasty items from. It was a bit of a challenge to choose from the menu since there are many interesting selections. Hope to return on a future visit to the city.... More

We've been to Curran's dozens of times and have always found it to be welcoming, comfortable, affordable and good. The breakfasts especially are very good. It is a neighborhood institution, a place where friends meet to have a slice of pie and coffee, or play cards or cribbage, or enjoy a reasonably-priced wholesome meal. Nothing fancy, just good.

Cheap and decent but rather like the school or hospital cafeteria. Menu is massive which is a clue that all the food isprobably NOT homemade as they claim. Service was slow, place was crowded and a little grubby around the edges. They do have a senior menu (over 55) with very reasonable prices. Nothing special.

Good place to go for home cooking. They have a down home menu with lots of comfort foods. The staff treat you like family, and the owner is just a great guy. Feels like home when ever I go there. I live in Mpls this place is only about 10 mins away from me. My husband goes here every week... More
