I have visited Pineda twice, after being introduced to it by a friend. This is a basic, no frills eatery on Lake Street with great food. On my last trip I had the chicken quesadillas, which were fantastic. I had it with chipotle chicken. They come individually or as a meal, which includes a drink and chips (nachos). The platter... Great authentic Mexican food! I was visiting from Texas for a Minnesota Vikings game and have never had authentic Mexican food like this outside of Texas. I recommend to anyone looking for great food!! Small but great!!

Took a chance on this place using a google search and tried this place for the first time. Don't be put off by the inside, it is definitely not anything to write home about. The star here is the food. Fresh, tasty, flavorful and large portions. The tacos are completely legitimate. The alambre is a bit different than traditional preparation... More

I have passed this restaurant hundreds of times and finally decided to stop in. It's small, a little "hole in the wall" type place, but so very good. My sister and I both ordered the enchiladas which is made right in front of you while you wait. Prices are reasonable. I will definitely will be back again. If you're looking... More

Was on Lake street last week and asked some locals were to eat. They recommended PT and I enjoyed my take out meal. The interior was very spartan and it is on Lake Street near 35W if that tells you anything. I'll definately be back, but can't see why this can be rated excellent when there are so many other... I'll keep this short and to the point... Service is always friendly and fast. The food.... Hands down best Tortas (take it from me I'm a gringo who has been given the nickname Tortas by all of my Mexican friends) in fact all the food is crazy crazy good (this is assuming you like and can tolerate real Mexican food.... Great authentic Mexican food---just like south Texas. No ambiance, but you go there for the food. Reasonable to cheap prices for what you get. Good flavors. You choose from many different meats to put into your dish. I like the spicy ones----spicy but not too much. Also a salsa bar to get your own salsa, lime, cilantro, jalapenos and onions.... More

Great food at Pineda. Love the chimichanga, tacos, tacos bravo. Steak with onions, carnitas, chicken - all awesome. Lunch time favorite - multiple times per week sometimes!!

Pinedas is one of those places when your looking for quick cheap Mexican to-go style food. The food is good and cheap (around 10 bucks for a torta and a soda). You order at the counter and food is ready in two minutes. The only problem is it looks cheap in the sitting area and it kind of ruins the... More

We first tried Pineda Tacos a few months ago, and it has now become our weekend tradition. We have enjoyed everything we have tried, but we especially like the corn tortilla tacos. We have tried each of their different meats and all have been great, but we especially enjoy the chicken in green sauce and pork in green sauce. Each... More
