Went to dinner with a friend. This place was near the distilleries we went before and after. The Coconut Chicken Curry was amazing! Had appetizers and mains to share. Delicious!

As someone who just recently returned from a month-long study abroad in Nepal, I was already starting to miss the delicious food. My professors recommended The Himalayan, so my dad and I decided to try it out. The food tasted just as good as in Nepal, if not better. The veggie momo's were insanely good, and my dad loved absolutely... More

5 p.m. on a Friday so seating was easy. We had a chicken coconut curry and a noodle dish and both were outstanding. Portions more than generous for the price. Service was attentive but not clingy. We were not once asked "so how's everything tasting?" which was a bonus. We will be back. Often.

The wait was long, but it was a busy Friday night. It was worth it however. The mixed vegetable curry was awesome. The momo appetizer and various naans, also great. Not the best atmosphere, sitting by the cold front door, but service was fine and the overall experience was very good.

We wanted a taste of Nepali food. The North West and South West twin cities areas have no Nepali restaurants, mainly Indian restaurants. So we drove down to this place. As others said, the friendly owner welcomed us and invited us to sit where we wished. We sat in the room closer to the car park with windows on two... More

We come here regularly and love the food. Service is great as well and they have reasonable beer/wine choices.

I ate here twice during a recent visit to the Twin Cities. (November 2016). The afternoon buffet is absolutely wonderful...the subtlety of the flavors mingled together is enough to make you weep for joy. Equally delicious are the appetizers and entrees ordered from the menu. The restaurant is modern and spotless. The staff is friendly and helpful and the owner... More

I was excited to try Himalayan restaurant. I found the cuisine to be more Indian than Nepalese, but my experience with the latter is limited. The food was hot and fresh. The service was attentive. I enjoyed the meal and found the price to be fair.

I have eaten here many times and I still love the food! Probably the best Indian/Nepalese cuisine in the Twin Cities! Excellent vegetarian choices, nice setting, very attentive staff and the food is always fresh. Never a long wait. My favorite dish is Aaloo Cauli, I have tried other vegetarian curries and think they are all great too. If you... More

I visited the Himalayan with my college age son. Given the prodigious appetites of collegians, we are the veterans of many buffets, many of them Indian. What I loved about the Himalayan was that the dishes they served were fresh and different. Though they had their share of "old reliables" on the buffet, they also had several dishes I had... More
