We visit my Dad every year in Bristol, South Dakota. Fly in to Minneapolis, rent a car, and make certain we stop at Reds for yummy lunch.

Lunch here today, made a special trip from North of Mpls., Wasn't disappointed. I had "The Traveler",(Country Fried Steak,White Gravy,Two Eggs scrambled, and American Fries, and opted for the Pancakes) was a great choice. My wife had their "Denver Wrap",(Omelette in a Wrap),she was also pleased with her choice.Small Cafe type place, very clean, quiet, well thought out. I would have no problems hitting this place... Three of us have been trying out restaurants all over the area. All three of us loved the food! Diner atmosphere is what we expected and is what we got. We will go back!

We have been eating here for years and can honestly say we have never had a bad experience! The portions are large, the food is very flavorful and the prices are very reasonable!

We didn't expect much from that place even if we found some terrific places but this one is not even ok. Unless the waiter knows your grandparents, she shows you how unwelcome you are and prefers to attend people she knows. Ours stopped to talk to her “friends” while delivering our food which after a 10min chat arrived cold. I... More

Was driving back home from the cities the other morning and decided to stop at Red's. Hadn't been in there in quite some time and a good homemade style breakfast sounded good. The place hadn't changed much, several local farmers having a cup of coffee and a roll and one other professional of some sort. Waitress was pleasant and the... More

We have been to Red's a couple of times. The waitresses that waited on us acted like we were bothering them. They didn't smile, rolled eyes if we ordered malts because "ice cream is so hard it's hard to make them", no "thank you" either time. I wanted onion strings with my sandwich instead if onion rings but they wouldn't... More

If you need a greasy, mass produced meal, Red's will have you covered! Think church basement food trucked in on big foil containers. Very beige food, but it won't kill you.

Fried chicken is about the only thing that they seem to do that doesn't taste like it is out of a can.
