We were told about your lovely place when I sought out things to do for a day trip to Park Rapids Area and WOW! This was my favorite stop of the day... the person who said it was run down...? The Logger's did not need...More

We make it to the Rapid River Logging Camp every year when we visit Park Rapids. It is our favorite restaurant there. The food is very good. It is all you can eat - a great value! All ages in our group enjoy the atmosphere....More

Annual event for our families. The atmosphere is fun- family style dinner is also fun! Driving up to the facility to see chickens on the fence & in the yard -fun .. Wonder if our chicken dinners came from the ones sitting on the fence...More

The chicken does not come from the free range chicken on the fence. We are an all you can eat restaurant. We would have to have a chicken farm to feed everyone. Sorry to hear that your food was ok, maybe tell us a little...More

I've been going here for 36 years and it's still just as good as the first time. They only take cash but the amount of food you get is very good. You can have all five meats (chicken, ribs, beef, pork, ham) if you want...More

Decided to try dinner here. They only take CASH or CHECKS, no credit cards which a lot of folks don't know. Nice waitress, food was good, atmosphere good, wish the outside buildings had more to see/read about the logging history. Also need to do more...More

Thanks for you review. We are a seasonal business and do not take credit cards. We have an ATM in the gift shop. This is how we have been for 36 years. We do not try to change. The restaurant was never a real Logging...More

Eat like a lumberjack in this logging camp kitchen. Although the facility is not rustic, the location is. You sit on benches and eat family style on a tin plate and drink from a tin cup. Rolls, Coke slaw, baked beans and Mac & cheese...More

First off, the food is ok, not great, but edible. Servers were good and friendly. However, one just gets the feeling that this is a place struggling to keep it together. From the "business for sale sign" to the run down surroundings (beyond what you...More

TheDocFeelgood, Thank you for the review. We have been in business for over 36 years. When we first bought the place the old owner had run it down way worse than you think and they did not have as many customers as we do now....More

I thought maybe if I had the chicken I would have been happier with my visit but I tried the roast beef and didn't want another plate. The price wasn't bad if the food would've been good . We looked around after we were done...More

Thanks for your review John. I would of suggest the ribs and chicken. The price is actually the best in the area for what you get including beverages and desert. I suggest going to Applebee's to better suit your needs. Thanks, The Ole Logger
