The Redwood Room was a pleasant dining experience. Moderately priced with very interesting menu options. The molasses glazed pork loin was very good. The menu has options for everyone. Quiet dining and very comfortable setting. Worth the money for a good meal.

This is a long time Rochester gem. It is one of six restaurants (under different names) owned by the same people. This is the BEST of the six. It is in the lower level below 300 1st (one of the six). A lot of wood,...More

I love this place! I used to eat here all of the time when I lived in Rochester; now it is only when I get to town. Still as good as always. Great food, wine, beer...What else do you need?

Enjoyed a pleasant Wednesday evening. There was a piano player singing old standards . We ordered a reasonably priced bottle of Chardonnay and I ordered a Summit winter ale as a starter as it is seasonal. My wife almost always orders a Redwood room salad...More

Overall, very solid experience. Live music is a great touch. Service got a little slow towards then end of our trip. However, there was a minor rush that was unexpected. Great place to take that special person.

Yes, the specific "Redwood Room" is in the basement and has "late night" hours. And frequently local musicians.
