Hubby likes the burgers, but I'm a Reuben fan and this is one of the best in Rochester. A bit spendy, but nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Parking can be a bit awkward during the busy times so beware. All in all a good place for lunch or diner, we've never been disappointed.

There is flavor of the meat by blending in spices and Other little secret ingredients, there is bland so that you Can add your own flavoring with hot sauce, ketchup, Mayo or thousand island and even peanut butter, eggs! Well it seems like the burgers needed at least a good start.. Not totally bland but they were. My husband had... More

We have eaten at Newts' many times. It is on the second floor lots of stairs, but I did discover their is an elevator if you are in need of one. Great place for families a bowl of popcorn 🍿 given to each table and I'm sure you can have seconds. I usually have a hamburger with grilled mushrooms and... More

Ordered basic burgers for takeout ~ the service was fast but the burgers unremarkable, a little greasy. The bun was white flour, and not particularly tasty.

The place is a Rochester classic: a lot of people who come to visit Rochester for a short time (the ones I know, to do some short training at Mayo), and then come back, remember this iconic place, which seems to remain frozen in time. Very cozy atmosphere, amazing music playing at the perfect volume to fill in the silences... More

Met friends for drinks here. Good beer selection. Great, friendly, knowledgable servers. Fun atmosphere. You can sit at tables to talk with friends or at the bar. Great tunes on the sound system. Fun place to meet friends.

Much better than most upscale burger places. Liked the fried cheese appetizers. Would have bought a bag of their popcorn but it was not available. They are missing out by not selling it! Would go back.

Real good Reuben, terrific fries, busy lunch but food was out in 15 minutes. Beer battered chicken strips rock.

we thought the French fries were good, but the hamburgers were somewhat average. that meaning some are better than others but not by much.
