Went on a Friday around 6:00. Lively atmosphere but the noise is too much for casual conversation. It's a bit brighter than the old version, but definitely on the lous side. Had Beet salad (Vinegarette dressing was way too intense overpowering the greens and the...More

We stopped by one night after an opening to check out the most recent iteration of this St. Paul landmark. We peeked into the bar and dining room which were classic old school club style, and lovely. We went up to the rooftop deck for...More

We’ve been to The Lexington several times- both indoors and on the patio since it reopened. The food selection is much better indoors, and I’d recommend sitting in the bar. The patio is spacious and fun in the summer with light food and decent drinks....More

From the rooftop bar's fun drinks to the solid American fare in the restaurant, my family enjoys the Lex and the servers/service.

I am so glad the Lexington reopened last year. It is wonderfully warm and inviting inside and hip and current upstairs on the deck! My friends and I love to make this our gathering spot.

Hi Nancy, The Tiki cocktail is a popular choice, so glad you enjoyed it. We do have another happy hour menu in the Martini Lounge that you may want to check out M-F, 4-6pm. Hope to see you again soon.

Description
The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 20th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. Previously operating as a speakeasy, the expansive wood panels were perfect for hiding a little booze and one can only imagine the shenanigans going on beyond the hidden staircase behind the coat check. For decades following, The Lex, as it’s called by locals and enthusiasts alike, was the place to be seen; business dealings, cocktail hours, and milestone celebrations were a regular occurrence for St. Paul socialites. The new, elevated menu will bring back supper club favorites, like the relish tray, chicken pot pie, and popovers along with some new interpretations of classic dishes like the pot roast. The cocktail menu is no different; offering a new riff on classic cocktails like an old fashioned, a brandy slush and an ever-changing social hour punch of the day. Now, more than 80 years later, we invite you to be part of the legacy - whether it’s your first visit or you’re returning to reminisce about the past. We invite you make new memories or revive old traditions as the familiar landmark welcomes you back. Welcome to The Lexington!
