Stopped at the bar for drinks ahead of dinner somewhere else; ended up staying for 'dinner' at the bar. Steve the tarbender was the main reason for staying - engaging, helpful, even a bit entertaining. Food was very good; happy hour prices were very value-driven...More

Had reservations, and was happy that the restaurant was able to move the reservation up 30 minutes as our plans changed somewhat. We were seated promptly when we arrived. Nice wine choices and a good salad to start. But unfortunately, what they bill as risotto...More

The meal was good, service a bit slow. Thought the food was a bit pricey. Atmosphere was good. Parking was pretty full due to event downtown. Valet good!

This is where you go to eat when you are in St. Paul - period. The ambiance, wait staff, food, wine, everything couldn't be more perfect. Start with a cocktail and then make it an evening - antipasto, primero, segundo and dessert with an after...More

Service was excellent. Food was great. The spare rib lasagna was a surprise. It was very tasty. Would, definitely, order it again.

We arrived at about 6:00 pm on a Sunday evening prior to a show at the Ordway, party of four. We did not have reservations, but they were able to seat us right away. We sat at the table for 15 min without anyone stopping...More

It was our last evening in St. Paul and turns out that we'd saved the best for last. We were staying at a nearby hotel and this nearby Italian spot sounded perfect for a belated birthday celebration for our 16-year old son. Open the door...More

Menu and drink list are good. Definitely on the pricey side for what you get (a halibut main course is $42, and a single large meatball as an appetizer is $10). The food, although good, is journeyman-like and nothing special. The layout of and seating...More

I love Italian food, probably my all time favorite to eat and topping the list of items is Gnocchi. Pazzaluna makes their own Gnocchi fresh and although it was delicious I would not order it again. I prefer a more dense Gnocchi and theirs was...More

We usually love Pazzaluna's bar and decided to splurge for a sit-down dinner in the dining room. The appetizer was lovely (Bruschetta) but the wait was long. When our meal finally arrived, both dishes were soupy and overcooked. I cannot recommend the ravioli and the...More

No. Shorts are too casual. You would feel quite underdressed.

We were dressed for the Science Museum, i.e. very casual/shorts. I don't recall feeling out of place or underdressed.

Italy's abundant and diverse food styles are represented and sampled throughout the year at Pazzaluna. The many culinary faces of Italy's distinct regions find their way to Pazzaluna's cucina daily. Seasonal influence is always projected, as are the artisan and craft suppliers that provide Pazzaluna with the best raw-ingredients Mother Nature has to offer. Pazzaluna is proud of its reputation of buying direct from area farmers on some of its most prized items. This style of purchasing is the TRUE ITALIAN TRATTORIA way - using local, regionally grown and produced supplies, reflecting the unique influence of the area as all of the ingredients come together in concert to perform in a dinner experience of a lifetime. To Italians, a meal is more than just food-it's an experience, an event to be shared with family and friends. No where is this more true than at Pazzaluna Urban Italian in Saint Paul, one of the Twin Cities' best Italian restaurants.
