We had great burgers. One downside is the prices. I know it's downtown Stillwater but $13 for a burger and tots is a lot of money. Great food and fun atmosphere. Downside the price and smaller menu. We didn't drink but laughed at the tap beer prices. Most taps were $5 for a 5 oz and close to $10 for... More

Stopped in here for a beer while the wife was checking out some other store in downtown Stillwater, first off there's a lot old dark wood.. and a long old dark wooden bar.. very cool! classic old bar. Nice selection of beers on tap, most local brews, ordered their Cuban sandwich and fries, WOW! that was a good sandwich, I... More

Spent the day antiquing and stopped in here for some lunch. Man! This place has a lot of fun things to look at. Popcorn is available for snacking. Nice menu with tasty, reasonably priced, food and . . . of course. . . BEER! I only wish that this place was closer to my home because I'd happily be a... More

Great pub food, good drinks and service. "Husband day care" at the very best while you shop in Stillwater.

We've been going to the Mad Capper for years. They have a great assortment of beers, including many on tap, plus great food. Our favorite is the club sandwich with avocado. We spit one of those, maybe have a cup of one of the tasty soups, and enjoy a beer. It's a good time! We'll be back.

Beautiful, abnormally warm fall sat in late Oct so the area was jammed. My date opted for us to bop in for a bev vs battle the lines at all the outdoor venues besides we were going to eat later on somewhere anyway. Lots of interesting decor on the walls and hunging from the ceiling, very dark pub...depressing given house... More

A family fall tradition was spoiled by a failed visit to the Mad Capper. Staff unattentive and poorly trained. Order initially wrong and not much effort to correct the mistake. Some food was cold and after waiting an extended time we decided to take chili home to reheat. Something has changed! Very disappointed.

Expecting typical bar fare for lunch, I was surprised at the variety of options. The beer menu would be better if expanded to showcase more local brews and the food portions were a bit small. Still a great place to kick off the weekend.

Husband and I had a drink here. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. Looks like it would be a fun place to spend an evening.

Casual, fun atmosphere with great upscale pub food and the best beer selection in the Valley. Family friendly, and a great place to meet friends whether for drinks or to catch the game, a local icon for 33 years and counting.
