Came here while traveling the Trace. I wish I had packed a lunch ahead of time but didn’t. Went to Trip Advisor and picked this place knowing it would be fried chicken and a buffet. Came in and saw the place was busy at 2...More

I would’ve loved to see this place back in it’s heyday. Huge old country store. Food was very good but not incredible. Service was very good. Thought it a little pricey at $15.95 for buffet. Glad I did it but once is enough.

We came here on the recommendation of friends, and we were not disappointed. If you like southern cooking--delicious fried chicken, greens, yams, ribs, etc, etc (2 Eric's, because they offer so much!), then this is the place. The food reminds me of Sunday dinner at...More

A restaurant in an old junky looking store. Over priced at $15.95 each buffet, corn bread hard, mac and cheese I could not eat, the chicken wasn't anything that special, the service seemed only interested in giving me the bill and not filling my drink...More

I've stopped by here for the past 3 years and I've never been disappointed. My family and I got in just before closing on a Sunday. Mr. D. is always charming and entertaining and the food is always great. The fried chicken is indeed delicious...More

Old country setting with antiques around. Soul food for the nourishment for the mind and body and memories for the soul.

A no-frills country-style food, in a great old building. The buffet seemed a bit over-priced, but the food was good and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. (The owner came out and visited with all the guests, even serenading a few tables!)

Went for my birthday, a four hour roadtrip to some great chicken. It was light, crispy and juicy. Also got the fried pork chop also very good. I was the only lucky one in my group to get one. They do how ever like their...More

Please add this restaurant. I found it when we stayed in Port Gibson, MS. it is about 8 miles out of town. It is on yelp. You can see it here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/old-country-store-lorman-2, it is also on roadfood.com. It is very inexpenisive and the food is very good. Moreover, the owner is a character. He sings to you. The waitresses treat you like relatives. It is truly a wonderful experience.
