We always enjoy our visits to the Plough & Sail very welcoming and the food is plentiful and delicious. Couldn't eat desert as we were all satisfied with starter and main.

A very old pub on the River Crouch run by the Oliver family. Great service. We came on a Thursday evening which was Pie and Pudding night for £12.95 each. The steak and Stilton pie was superb. Pudding was a raspberry roulade. Clearly a popular pub for locals as well as visitors. Easy to park.

Very busy pub , we booked a table for four but couldn't get a table until 3pm for Sunday lunch . Well worth the wait , the food was superb, couldn't fault any of the courses, and we all had something different off the menu . If I had to be a bit picky the staff were the most miserable... More

I have been to the Plough & Sail for drinks in the Summer. This week we went for lunch. The menu is quite extensive. With a choice from a Sandwich/ Light lunch menu, A'la Carte to the 2 course special menu. This bustling pub is popular and has obviously built up a good thriving business. The food was a good... Met up with a group of friends at this lovely old pub . Had been here some years ago and remembered how good the food was back then...was hoping it was just as good and I definitely wasn't disappointed. There is a really good choice to suit all tastes. Our waitress was great...sadly I didn't get her name. Everything was... More

Came here last week and couldn't have asked for better. The log fires were welcoming and cosy. Our waitress was lovely and really helpfull. Food was great and fresh and didn't have to wait very long. Will certainly go again.

As always the service was first class and the food was exceptional. I visit regularly but not too often because it is not nearby but when we travelled out to Paglesham to the Plough and Sail we have never failed to have a lovely time. It was lovely to have a puppy there this time who made us laugh and... More

We have been to the P&S many times over the years and are always pleased to return. Although it is an old pub, access with a wheelchair is not too bad, one of the staff and another diner held doors open for us which made life easier. Once inside it was easy to reach our table next to the window... More

My brother in law had book a meal for 9 of us and we told that the table would be available for us for most of the evening, but from the start we were hustle into ordering and eating our food. After eating a pretty average meal which cost just under £300 we were told that they wanted the table... More
