Returned after a poor experience some years ago to a much improved experience. We were served at the bar and chatted to by the staff and locals and decided to stay for food. Good range on the menu including vegetarian. We started with scallops with pea purée - they were cooked to perfection but personally I prefer a little more... More

Went for a Carvery lunch on a Sunday. The hosts were nice. The place has the traditional pub feel. The food was ok. Desserts were better.

Having read a number of glowing reviews we were a little disappointed. The starters were fine but nothing out of the ordinary. For my main course I had selected a homemade burger. It was certainly homemade as it was almost falling apart. However, it too was fine. To my surprise though, there was nothing else on the burger - no... More

Hi Stuart, Thank you for your honest feedback. I am of course disappointed that you weren't wholly satisfied, but certainly happy to take on suggestions, so the burger will certainly be getting a little more garnishing from now on. The gammon is sliced straight from the joint, so we would also be happy to serve this to the guests liking... More

Visited with my Mum for lunch, nice to find a lunchtime menu with some different offerings. Delicious home cooked food, good size portions and the bonus was that it was buy one get one free. So lovely lunch for 2 including drinks, just over £20, excellent value. Would recommend as good value even if we had paid double.

The Crown has changed hands recently but the new hosts Amanda and John are really making a go of it. It's a proper local village pub and deserves everyone's support. Harbury is a lovely village and a visit to the Crown is a must. Three different real ales on draught and all good.

I originally left this review on Facebook with 2 stars but seen as they've decided to hide it I thought I'd leave another with another star removed for trying to hide it. The positives: food was good, my steak was well cooked and though the portion of chips was small they were nice enough. The pub was warm and welcoming.... More

We were staying at Harbury Fields Caravan Park and looked for somewhere for Sunday lunch. I came across the Crown which had some good reviews so, as it was Remembrance Sunday, I booked a table which was just as well as it was quite busy. We had the two course carvery which was excellent value at £11.95. We both had... More

The worst beef burger I have ever had the pleasure of only half eating! The burger was disgusting, I've seen better looking brake pads!!! We ate in the bar area where there were a few locals having a drink (or several) and their language was deplorable (believe me I'm no prude) which made my wife and I feel very uncomfortable....
