We always stop at Hicks whenever going between home and StLouis. The food is always great and prices are good. It is a little ways off the highway but we'll worth a few miles.

What a great place! Loved the décor :-) Treated ourselves to a Pulled Pork Sanga, Pickles, Mac N Cheese with crisps on the side. Pulled Pork was tender and delish! Staff were friendly and service was swift. Loved the pictures up on walls and the toilets are a must see.
Stayed at the Wagon Wheel Hotel next door so we walked over. The service was friendly but the BBQ was average at best. Solid dependable comfort food and the beer was cold.
Stopped here after seeing the billboards and reading TA reviews. Anytime you get your meal within 5 minutes of ordering, it's suspicious. It appeared the garden salad had even been made that morning. I got the ribs and wouldn't again. They were meaty, but not that tender. My husband got the sampler platter and thought the pulled pork was the... More
We traveled through the US down the Route 66 for 3 weeks during our honeymoon this past August and believe me: i had the best ribs and potatoe salad here at Hick's! Great food and warm staff made our night! Thanks Hick's!
The wife and I went all route 66 for the day and decided to stop in. We went here a couple of years ago.... Well didn't seem to be quite as good as we thought it was from before. The ribs tasted like what leather smells like. Nothing to write home about. The brisket sandwich was about a 7 on... More
We stopped in Cuba on our way home from Branson on Sunday before Christmas to meet up with the boys and theor buds for some AYCEBBQ ribs, since we saw a billboard advertising it. 6 out of 7 of us had their terrific ribs that came with 2 sides for about $19. Only a couple of us had seconds because... More
Wife and I enjoyed a hearty serving of BBQ. Me, all can eat ribs. Wife, pork sandwich. Both of us enjoyed the PIES (coconut and chocolate cream). Neat interior, fast seating, fast waitress, fast out with the food. Attentive waitress. Surprised they did not serve regular ole French fries - always nice with BBQ. But far from a deal killer... Restaurant is way cool and the ambience can be cool. Maybe I got there too early cause I was the only one there, but at least four tables came in while I was there. Service was good but my food just wasnt. First it came out in less than 10 minutes, and I get it they hold food hot, but... More
They are located about two miles off the highway but worth getting off the highway. We were greeted the minute we walked in the door with friendliness and enthusiasm. Very reasonably priced and very good, tender meats. Service was very attentive and food came very quickly. Nice wooden decor like a log cabin.
