Third time there and third great meal. The bakery is a must. The apple pie is unreal. The service is great.

If you are anywhere near HWY 55 and Imperial/Kimmswick MO you must make your way to The Blue Owl for a late breakfast or lunch. They have the best comfort style food around. The desserts are to die for. Prices are reasonable in the $10 range and you get a lot of food for that. Service is also great. There... More

Went here with a party of 6 on Sept 17th, 2016. This restaurant closes at 5:00, so don't plan on eating here for supper. The menu is mostly sandwiches and salads, accompanied by some scrumptious desserts. There is also a daily blue plate special that consists of meat, carb, and veg of some type. The best value on the menu... More

We had our granddaughter and her husband meet us for dessert. Very busy but they recommend if we did not want to wait we were welcomed to purchase dessert and take next door to their coffee bar area. We did and everyone was again pleasantly in ahh of the yummy pie. We had experienced the carmel apple pie before so... More

The absolute best pies and cakes! The best one I ever had there was German chocolate pie. Could only eat a little bit at a time it was so decadent.

This is the food, and desserts, that you remember from your childhood at your grandmother's farmhouse. Even the the waitresses are dressed like your grandmother was for Sunday dinner.

Stopped by to pick up a "mile high" pie. Who has the best dessert in town and a fantastic menu if you care to dine in.

The Blue Owl is credited with Kimmswick's revival in the 1980s. It's quant. It has great Quiche. The mile high apple pie is outstanding and they have a poppy seed salad dressing that's to die for. In fact, we always get several bottles to take home. Our first trips was a lunch with quiche, soup, salad and the apple pie,... More

We hadsseveral recommendations while on vacation in Montana to eat at the Blue Owl. The food & service were excellent. We took ONE of their "Mile High Apple Pie" slices covered in caramel back to the condo where we were staying. It took four days for the two of us to eat it all. After two days it was great... More
