20 € for a very small meal. Left the place hungry after a beefsnadder meal. Litteraly paid 20€ for fries, no meat. Stay away.

This has been one of the best restaurants we have visited in Norway. The food and service were excellent - and we are pretty fussy when it comes to restaurant food. There was a choice of 8 items - one could choose any number of them. We had a starter, the soup, veal main course and 2 desserts. All of... More

The restaurant offers you the option of 1 to 8 courses. If you decide to have 2 course meal and cannot decide between two entrees, they will prepare one of the entrees as an appetizer. The quality of the service and the food is very good.

We had the make your own menu, for interest we choose the sweetbreads and veal and reindeer and sea bass. The fish was too salty and the first veal plate was cold. When we got a hot plate the veal was excellent. Serving staff were very good. The sweetbreads were an interesting surprise....

Hello! Thank you for your feedback! I am sorry that the fish was too salty.. Very glad to hear that your veal was replaced with a new plate and that you tried the sweetbread! :) Have a nice summer! Best wishes, Ingrid Garmo Fossheim Hotell More

We had a 3 dish meal (salmon, beef and assorted dessert) here supported by local brewed beer. It was very tasty and presented in a delicious way. High quality food made with patience and of persons knowing their profession. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and informal with decorations and equipment from the older time - wood craft. The... More

So much dissapointment. The hotel was not worth it. The "double" room consisted in two separate uncomfortable beds. We bearly slept all night long. The girl at the reception wasn't smiling at all. The only place we enjoyed was the restaurant. The food was delicious.

Next to the Bakeriet i Lom is a truly gastronomic place, the Fossheim Hotel. It is said that Henrik Ibsen lived here for several days during a roundtrip in Norway. The food here is Excelent, the staff friendly and efficient, and the Reindeer tasteful. I would recommend you to try the reindeer.

A canteen-like setting where you have to go to the counter to collect your food when it's ready so it's quite interesting. Food was nice though a little too fat, especially pizza; and table could be cleaner (or staff could clean it quicker after customers). View through the window overlooking the main street but very cosy still. Good ice cream... More
