We loved our delicious and generously sized chili rellenos with beans and rice! Their homemade multi-salsa varieties and chips were all excellent, and food was presented on festively decorated pottery plates. The margaritas were tasty and refreshing as well. Our food was top quality and extremely reasonable.

There is a tone of options in Sayuliyta and quite frankly Mary's wasn't on my radar until we drove by it (pretty colorful and eye catching) and one of the stores recommended it for the local food, and I am happy we gave it a shot.
This spot is pretty "busy" with people passing by and cars/buggies/golf carts driving by all the time, as is the entire "downtown" of Sayulita, so if you expect peace and tranquility this is not for you, I say. However, if you are up for some good food and convenient location then Mary's is right that alley, especially for visitng Sayulita for a day to walk around :)
Their three complementary sauces; habanero, jalapeno and chipotle (this last one was my favorite) are amazing - where my wife enjoyed the shrimp dish I was chowing down on the tortillas with the trio of sauces and was one happy guy!
TIP: do take MX Peso with you instead of USD, that is the reason I gave 4 and not 5 - they give 17:1 exchange so for a cash only place this was pretty brutal and I think the lowest exchange in our entire week stay in Nayarit & Jalisco area.

Ordered the burrito with other food which was a mistake cause it was the biggest burrito I’ve ever seen. The jalapeño poppers also had the most cheese I’ve ever seen inside any poppers ever. Great spot to eat

The rave was about what great Mexican food. My chili relleno was cold and the beans were bland as was the rice. The waiter brought us the sauces from the people who just left and they were slopped all over the side. Who knows if the other folks weren't dipping their own cutlery in there?

Ate here on 2 different occasions. Had Mary’s Fajita, chicken enchiladas & flautas. All food was cooked excellent & tasted authentic. My favourite was the fajita only complaint was only gave you 2 tortillas for this huge plate. Service was quick on both occasions. Would highly recommend eating here.

The guacamole was close to being the best ever. Very tangy with onion and tomato complimenting the avocado. The chips were totopos which was a nice touch. My wife enjoyed her burrito - arrachara and cheese. The burrito was NOT over-salted, which happened earlier at a another place. The jamica was quite good; not over-sweetened and with a nice tang. It would rate an excellent if the one young server had not been yelling from the street to the back of the restaurant.

In the span of 4 nights, we ate here twice. And both meals were awesome.
I had the grilled fish and my boyfriend had the chicken molé enchiladas and the guacamole. Delicious and fresh, great seasoning and generous portions.
Our second night, we split the regular chicken enchiladas (best enchiladas I’ve ever had, in the best rojas sauce I’ve tasted) and a cheese empanada each. Hindsight; too. Much. Food. At least for our Canadian tummies. The empanadas are the size of their dinner plate (massive, I doubt we could’ve even finished 1 if we shared).
Mary’s almost always has a line up but if you’re in before 8, you should be golden.

I live in Colorado and we have great Mexican food options here… after eating at Mary’s I will never have Mexican food this amazing again in CO! We ate at Mary’s for breakfast, lunch and dinner for our entire trip (except the last meal, biggest mistake)! Could not get enough! The owner is working in the kitchen and ensuring safe food handling and service every step of the way.
We made the mistake of eating at a chain restaurant (si senor) and I was the sickest I’ve ever been in my life from the red snapper.
Stick to the locally owned places like Mary’s if you’re looking for amazing, quality, authentic Mexican food!

After reading the reviews and asking a local about Mary's we were encouraged to go there. We are so glad we did. Looking for a breakfast that was not an American breakfast but was also not a traditional Mexican breakfast is a feat. Well not anymore. We actually had 3 different plates and each was outstanding. The Mary Sayulena while a bit salty for my taste was an excellent choice with the specialty of the house salsa. The verde salsa was also a hit. The Don Jose plate with eggs was similarly outstanding. The hotcakes were light, filling, and wonderful with the syrup. The juices were fresh and the tropical smoothie was satisfying. We will go there again and try lunch. The service staff as very responsive and as a bonus spoke excellent English. Much better than my inadequate Spanish.

First meal in Sayulita, and this may be the best taco I have ever had. The Mary's Taco has shrimp, grilled poblano chiles, mushrooms, and avocado to make one of the tastiest tacos in the universe. The fish taco was good too, fresh but fairly standard.
Mary's is near the town square. It's a small place with tables on the street and inside. The server was really nice too. If you come to Sayulita, you have to go to Mary's and have a Mary's Taco.

The food here is AMAZING! We’re Australian so we weren’t used to the big portions, which was a shame cause I could never finish my meal. The fried squid was delicious, the special tacos were all really good and my favourite especially was the fish taco. I struggle with eating corn tortillas as I had a bad experience once and can only eat flour tortillas, but the restaurant was really accommodating to this and made my tacos with flour tortillas instead. So good!

Mary’s is awesome - the food is so delicious and the service is wonderful too. The wait for a table is worth it! My husband, two young daughters and I came here on the recommendation of a friend and we had the fish tacos, mixed fajitas and the quesadillas for the kids. All of it was great, in fact, my husband gets fajitas every time we go to Mexico and he has declared Mary’s the best fajitas he’s ever had. Some patrons were eating breakfast and those dishes looked great, too. We will definitely go back when in Sayulita.

Everything is very fresh, simple, well seasoned and delicious! Chicken fajitas and grilled fish tacos were excellent, filling and incredibly well priced. The tortillas and salsas were delightful too.

The best burrito and enchiladas!! Food as good as everyone says. Very busy every night. Portions are large. Margarita came in a plastic cup (and to my taste, not fresh squeezed lime juice).

Some of the best food I’ve tried in Sayulita!
We came for breakfast and dinner. The shrimp a la diabla is SOOO delicious.
Would highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious authentic Mexican food at a great price!
