Great little Pakistan/Indian eatery. Awesome authentic foods and drinks. Great service and a nice outdoor patio on the east side of the building so no heat from the sun. Have eaten here more than once and never a bad meal or service.

We go here quite often for lunch, dinner or carry out. Food is always great and fresh. Love the spicy grilled mangos and marsala sandwich. My daughter is vegetarian and so am I sometimes. This works for us. Staff is very friendly and casual.

It was a gorgeous night, we ate outside and enjoyed our dinner very much. Our server took great care of us. Do note that they don’t serve alcohol. I don’t know if you can BYOB. I had the Tilapia special, with spicy, ripe mango slices (made with house-blend spices), which I loved. We shared some appetizers, all of which were... More

I am a regular customer at Chai Shai. Food is cooked to order; it will take time but it is worthy! It is delicious and so different. They have the best samosas I have ever eaten, love the green sauce that comes with the samosas.

This is an indo-pakistani restaurant. Their food is really awesome. I think they make everything from scratch and it tastes really good. You should definitely try the Rooafza drink. Their appetizers is good. For veg try pakora or samosas with green chutney. Also try their mango slices with some chilli it will really good if you haven't eaten mangoes with... More

Intimate setting. Great food! I tried the veggie appetizer platter (enough food for 2 ). Very very tasty , well seasoned. Samosa was good , however not as good as what I normally get from the farmers market . I will be back though to try their vegan dish and not just the appetizer platter ! Great find !

Our took us to this restaurant on a cold, rainy night a few days ago. My wife and I have eaten at many ethnic restaurants. This one stands out on many levels. In order of appearance. The place is tastefully decorated although the metal chairs could use a cushion (we borrowed a couple from the adjoining sofa). The lady that... More

This place is just 100% delicious every time. The pink chai is delicate and perfect by itself or before a spicy meal (green tea, decaf); the masala chai is flavorful and rich (black tea for a little punch). Even the iced chai tea is delightful: comes with fresh orange peel, cinnamon stick, and practically a whole mint plant submerged within!... More

A friend and I had lunch at Chai Shai. It is a really cute, small place with a nice outdoor seating area. They hand you menus when you come in and then you order and pay at the counter. I had the Lamb Roll, my friend had the Lamb Daal. We both really enjoyed our dishes. The servers were friendly... More

This is by far my fiance's and I favorite indian restaurant in KC. This place is small which may lead to a bit of a wait at times. It is a hidden gem in KC though so every time we have been there we haven't really had to wait. The food is absolutely delicious. It can get a little pricey... More
