We did get there a little early as we did not make a reservation. The food was excellent: just the right serving size and reasonably priced. Service was great; our server even stopped to chat with us as visitors to her city.

Located in a former freight or cargo storage unit, close to the train tracks, this is a wonderful Austrian restaurant. I loved the atmosphere - soft colors and lights, low music, friendly personnel, and hearty food. Stiegl draught beer was great, and so was my...More

If you live in KC this is a nice experience. But if you REALLY want German food (not Austrian) you will drive to Paola KS and eat at Beethoven's. Now THAT is a German experience. You will roll out of that restaurant.

We certainly didn't expect a German (oops, Austrian) restaurant in Kansas City, though I don't know why we wouldn't. We ate at one of the bar tables, with quick and and friendly service. There's a good selection of German beer and the prices are modest....More

Delicious. Came accident. Had grill asparagus, poached eggs fried prosciutto appetizer. It was superb. The schnitzel was perfect! Potato cucumber salad sounded weird. It’s a new favorite. Great service with an exceptional meal

Do NOT order the filet medallions. One of the most horrible cuts of meat I have ever had. Nothing but gristle. Could not eat. Total waste of money. These were Not filet medallions.

I would say in evening hours, it is primarily an adult atmosphere. I can't say that in the number of times we've been there in the evening that we've seen any small children. However, at lunch time, especially on weekends, I... More
