Very nice lunch here today for a novice when it comes to Malaysian food. My dining partner recommended a dish and we shared an appetizer and both were very good. My main dish came with a spice warning - Mee Goring. I was asked if I liked spicy food and I do of course so they asked how spicy? I... More

Have been eating here 15 years. Very few cars in parking lot recently. Had a dish Singapore Noodles tonite missing at least half its taste. Had to ask for cilantro and she said they were out the 20 minutes later brought some out. It used to be 4.5 stars. No wonder they are struggling to stay open.

We went with friends who count as regulars. We ordered five dishes and had plenty of leftovers. The royal almond chicken was crisp and sweet, the noodle soup was light and refreshing, the sambal was hot. Fried bananas for dessert were crisp, sweet and covered in coconut. A solid meal with attentive but not intrusive staff. Small seating area, but... More

Such a wonderful find north of Kansas City. The food is high quality. The presentation of the food is excellent. I had the curry chicken, the summer rolls and the coconut flan to go. The presentation of the to go order is excellent The staff are most gracious. I certainly have expectations of working my way through the menu.

My meal was so delicious, I ordered another one to go so I could have it at home the next day! My next trip to Kansas City will not be near this place, but I plan to go out of my way to eat here.

I haven't been to Malay Cafe in years, mostly because I am not in the vicinity were I can visit frequently. This place is in a strip mall, but don't let that deter you. The food is still the same wonderful quality that I remembered. You cannot go wrong to do lunch there, prices are under $10 ($7.95) for tasty... More

We go to Malay Cafe all the time and they've never disappointed us. If you're a vegetarian, they're willing to substitute tofu for any of the meats. The Roti Canai is probably the best food ever made anywhere and it is just an appetizer. I usually get a couple orders of those as well as some fried sweet potatoes or... More

One of my daughters loves this place and is always her first choice. We finally gave in. Each one of us lived the food. My only disappointment was the tea was souf and they did not have fountain soft drinks.
