Miss dining in

We love to come here, but because of Covid we have decided to continue getting take out. I must say, their burgers and fries are just as good with take out as they are in the dining room...like heaven be eating a real burger again....can't wait to be able to come back in to dine...miss it....

I am so done! I go here because there are very few places to eat in town and my hubbie kind of likes it, but ever he is done. We ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich, fries, prime rib, potato and green beans. I get that at the lake every restaurant that serves pork tenderloin thinks that they have to outdo the competition by making the biggest. Stop!! I have had a decent manageable sandwich there before, and it was very good. This time the sandwich was soooo big as to lap over my plate by at least 5 inches touching every dirty surface along the way. It was literally laying on the dirty table top! The fries, as she set the plate down started falling on the floor, on the table, my lap....really! This is one of those times when size really does matter, and I don't want that coming in contact with the table. To top it off, it was very greasy. It took two small containers to take it home, and got thrown out the next day. My hubbie did not like his prime rib, as it was too fatty, and no flavor. His words about the green beans...what a joke. He also took his meat home and grilled it with an egg for breakfast after giving it some spice. I keep saying I won't come back, and I will not recommend this place to your friends or family any more. There is no love in that kitchen anymore...

My wife stopped in to eat after a few other places we tried were closed on Monday PM. If u don't like a down home place Vinny's is not for u. We though the food was fantastic & portions we huge & prices low. Service was good - not great. I had tenderloin dinner & my wife had a burger & both were great - would highly recomend if u want good food at a good price- we will be back

Disappointing Sunday Supper

We both thought this was the worst meal, that we ever had from Vinny's. The chicken and rib special was gross. The chicken was baked or boiled, without any seasoning. The ribs were not good, either. The baked potato was not fresh and the green beans were tasteless. We are not picky eaters, but this was not a good meal.

Been coming here for a while Vinny the owner got a little excited tonight when I was playing my own music ,because he is too cheap too keep the jukebox playing, very upsetting because this was my go too place for food and drink, I was spending my money too have a goodtime.never had a problem before.its amazing he can talk too everybody else, but rarely says a word too me or my better half. Sorry will find some other place too go.dont get me wrong the food is edible service is good .but this was upsetting.

Tenderloin heaven

Heard rave reviews about the pork tenderloin... since it’s my favorite I had to go to Vinny’s and try it. The pork tenderloin was huge and delicious! Definitely worth going. The price was extremely reasonable for what you all got. Will definitely go back if I travel back to the Ozarks.

We were new to the area and looking for a place to eat lunch that wasn’t a chain restaurant. We drove by Vinny’s and thought we we give it a try. They separate out the lounge and the restaurant if you are taking your family but the lounge did not seem to be wild either. We were greeted warmly upon entering. They have several different daily specials and a well rounded menu. We ordered a hamburger, bacon cheese burger, double cheese burger, and a chicken schnitzel. The burgers were phenomenal! These were not your typical frozen patties, they were fresh burgers and if I had to guess I would say they were 1/2 per patty. They had great flavor and were juicy placed on a fresh toasted bun. The fries were the thin type and fried to a golden color. If you appreciate the small things they even use name brand condiments which is a bonus to me. The schnitzel was huge with a delicious breading and fired to perfection. Each bit was crisp and juicy. We will definitely go to Vinny’s again and bring friends when they are down at the lake with us. The service is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I couldn’t recommend Vinny’s enough.

I’m very sorry you was disappointed with your dinner not sure why the tenderloin was coming off of the plate and we do not put Caravey on our leg of lamb it come with only salt and garlic The dinner cost you $14 If you like your $$ back I will be very happy to give it to you

Totally disappointed this past weekend by what was supposed to be leg of lamb (Bohemian style). No garlic, no caraway AND I do believe he served mutton not leg of lamb. For what we spent it was a total ripoff and we will never make this mistake again, this was my first AND last experience with "Vinny". If you are traveling, don't waste your time or money here.

The food is OK, the service is generally subpar. We only go there to eat with friends. If you do venture in, try the wings or the tenderloin.

I have had a few good things here, but the last few times it wasn't so much. The frog legs are usually good, but the last time they were not crispy, but so wet that you could not pick them up without the coating peeling off. Just plain mushy. This time I ordered the meatloaf plate. It came out with mushy green beans, cold mashed potatoes and slices of mystery meat coved in a mass amount of gravy. The meat was sliced thin, packed down so hard it was like dense brick. I have never had anything like that. Not the way I make it, nor any other granny I know....I don't know if we will be back, but my hubbie likes it,...he will eat anything!
