This is a trout farm, but they also raise other animals and crops/vegetables. The restaurant is huge, with a large terasse as well. We took a traditional apetizer, local cheese, ham, smoked trout, bacon plus roe salad. Fabulous!
We all ordered trout in different forms.... clearly this fish is one of the tastiest and here it was cooked to perfection. The service was excelent, everything came at the right time. The only minus were the anoying flies. Thought of going for 4 stars because of that, but everything else was so goidMore
Returned here after 2 years away. 2 years ago the food had deteriorated but now it is beyond description. The worst food I have ever tasted.
The setting is spectacular and the abundant fish in the farm ponds leads you to believe that you can...only have delicious fresh fish to eat. But don’t be fooled.
We picked a variety of dishes from the menu and waited in anticipation.
The first difficulty was that the children’s play area next to the restaurant was being refurbished and during the lunch rush it was decided that this was the best time to drill and construct the new equipment! Needless to say we had to seek another table.
Next the waiter informed us that a large group had pre booked and that when bringing the drinks our food would be longer than usual. That didn’t matter so much, great view and company would see us through to our lunch.
We the food finally arrived we wish it hadn’t. The fish was tasteless, pink in colour and full of bones. It was over cooked and burnt. The ‘French fries’ must have been cooked the day before and reheated in a micro wave (worse than the worst British chip shop chips). None of the food was edible. This was the worst food any of us have ever tasted - avoid at all costs.
The waiter was great however and said we were not the only ones to complain and his politeness is what the 1 star is for.
Even the Papanasi was horrible - strawberry jam instead of wild blueberry!!!!More
We have visited this place and it is getting worse and worse from year to year. The more they earn, the smaller the portions next to the fact that the quality of the fish has deteriorated. We expect fresh trout, but get oily fish that...are red. No taste, but full of water. in addition two hairs in the food with the purchase. We will never come here again!More
Beautiful place with a nice view, but the food is not great, it's just an over rated restaurant. The fish was burned, the fries were made in the morning and served in the afternoon. The waiters were overwhelmed.
We’ve been here a couple of times and we’re going to come back regularly. Even though it is quite a drive from Sibiu for just a lunch or dinner, the views and the dishes are worth it. The trout is fresh, as you can see...in their fishing ponds, and the deserts are really tasty (especially the apple pie and papanasi). You should be aware of the fact that during the warm season the place is quite crowded, but that shouldn’t stop you from going there.More
We visited the place for the trout streams and took the chance to eat here as well. The fish soup.is definitely worth trying as the fresh out adds up a richful taste to the dish. Also, we ordered trout cooked in wine souce which i...liked best. Fantastic taste. Posted a pic with the ordered meal. 🐟More
