In two recent trips to st. Joseph I have eaten lunch here. The food is good and so is the service. I try to take a little extra home for the next day. The last time I went it was fun dragging my family up there to experience it with me.

I've been going to this unique restaurant for almost as long as it's been around. It's not your typical Mexican restaurant, but more like Mom's home cooking, if your mom is Mexican and a really good cook! I always get the same thing--a taco, tostada, and cheese enchilada. Special!

Barbosa's is consistently delicious food that is not like typical chain Mexican food. Never disappointed at Barbosa's. The service is always friendly and fast also.

Barbosa's is a favorite of my family. I have been going for years and I have never found a Mexican restaurant that even compares. The service is fast and the food is amazing. Stands out from all the other Mexican restaurants. The avocado dip and chips is a must get. Chips cost extra, but trust me it is worth it.... More

Yummy! Lot's of history and atmosphere. Good salsa and fried flour chips. My favorite is the avocado salad and it is enough for 2 meals. Lots of unique choices.

Barbosas has always been a favorite in st.Joseph...there's none like it as most other Mexican restaurants are about the same.... I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food at fair prices with wonderful atmosphere.. I especially love eating at the Castillo up town...the choice of 3is a good choice and very good food..the chips ate homemade and avocado... More

My late lunch of a traditionally prepared chile relleno and a tamale were generously sized and very good. The service was friendly and the historic venue unexpected!

The food is a little different than a typical Mexican restaurant but it is good. The castle is an old home that has been converted to the restaurant which makes for an unique experience. I highly recommend it.
