Stopped in for Saturday brunch at the new Clayton location. Glad we did. This is a great location and the interior is well done. There is also seating outside for those nice days. Service by Fred B was excellent, professional and attentive. We started with Bloody Mary's that were tangy and well garnished with lime, celery and olives. There is... More

I recently attended a business dinner here for 50 in one of the private rooms. Even though the restaurant was very busy the service seemed to move flawlessly and the food was delicious.

Herbie's has moved to the old Cardwell location in Clayton. The décor has been updated, but the layout is still the same. The menu and wine list had a very nice selection. We had the escargot appetizer and they were very good. The portions were well sized and all the food was delicious.

Sunday and a small group of us out for monthly brunch ... Herbies is now in Clayton on Maryland Ave. All in all not but added table cloths and slower service at an increased cost ... Other places used to keep the bottomless Mimosa filled without haveing to try to hail down the waiter like a taking cab on a... More

Herbies has moved to Clayton. Went with two other couples. Someone ordered the pork chop, my wife ordered the filet, and I ordered the rack of lamb. Every meat dish came out really undercooked we ordered medium rare but the steak and the lamb were raw, and the pork was not cooked all the way through. They all went back... More

We waited and waited to order and to get our food. When it came, the sea bass was literally floating in butter and oil. It had some weird nasty sourkraut underneath of it too. I think this is the new hot restaurant for the holidays so if you go have a reservations and expect to wait a long time. My... More

Please indulge my intro. Back in 1972 I was a "live in" about three blocks of Café Balaban. Being a poor college student I did not have the money to enjoy Balabans. See Herbie's website and this will make sense. Our evening started with a round of cocktails - a Classic Cosmo, Mojito and a wonder Old Fashion, muddled. Although... More

Back in St. Louis and staying down the street at the Chase Park Plaza. I had been to Herbie's once before and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had to bring a couple colleagues to dinner and set reservations here. I like the old style frontage and interior characteristic of the richness that was the early 1970's. I do not imagine... More

Dined with a group of friends, had reservations for a Friday evening. We have been many times previously. This is the first time I have written about a visit and here is why. The group size did not affect service for one second, very impressive. The timing on every course served, from 3 to 4 courses per person, was better... More

Dirty glasses, bugs in the water. Service was super slow. Not sure why people eat here. Must be there for the alcohol.
