Gregg's is a mainstay in the industrial north side serving great lunches for over 30 years. Fried Fish, hand carved Roast Beef, and other blue plate specials. Home cooking, no prepackaged warm and serve for this crowd. Most customers eat here a couple times a week and have been coming for years.

I've eaten at Gregg's a couple of times. The service is good, and the waitress are very nice. My party had the onion rings as an appetizer and the breading was very light and tasted delicious. I had the nachos as my main course, which were good. The other members of my party had the fried chicken which they loved.... More

We dine here frequently. The food and service are terrific. The place is not open on weekends, so plan to visit on a weekday or evening. Gregg's serves tavern-style fried chicken with a thin and crispy crust. The chicken is always juicy and tender. The restaurant has a large menu - something for everyone. We like the servers a lot.... I called in to pickup an order for a lunch that I was taking to a client of mine. Ordered 20 piece Fried Chicken-grilled chicken and a grilled chicken salad. Ordered 2 sides mashed potatoes and gravy and cole slaw. All the food was great, other than my salad which was kind of boring, as it was mostly iceberg with... More

I love Gregg's. I've been a patron for over 20 years. Big John has owned this place for 42 years and each time I am back in St Louis I make sure I get by. John is always happy to see me. The wait staff is good and the bar food is fresher, tastier and hotter than you'll get anywhere... More

We never tire of going to Gregg's. It is a hidden gem in an industrial part of St. Louis. The food is consistently excellent as is the service. Over the years I had tried everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. I had the cod special on my last visit and it was so perfect. And during the... More

We dine here frequently, and you just can't go wrong in choosing anything on the menu. The fried chicken dinner is a true masterpiece. The nachos are truly tasty. Anything sandwich is made to perfection. The servers are very good, and the owner always seems to stop at the table to see how you like the food. And during the... More

I work in the area and Gregg's is one of the best places to eat for lunch. There is plenty of seating and you just walk in and seat yourself. The menu is kind of "home style" with daily specials listed on the chalk board. The food is very good and reasonably priced. It the place to go for lunch... More
