What a great day! Our first visit to this venue and we loved it! Wines were fantastic and the service excelled. Angela gave us a fantastic introduction to the wines and Jessica showed us great service as our waitress for lunch! Thanks you two for...making our day! The venue was very clean and beautiful. We will back!More

Stopped by on a cold windy Saturday for lunch. We were the first there but Sheri made us feel very welcome. We did a wine tasting. She really knew her products. Lunch was very good. We stayed most of the afternoon sharing several bottles of...wine. Will certainly be back. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.More

Enjoyed sitting on the patio in a relaxing atmosphere. They have a variety of food choices, and my salad was great. Their wine slushy is VERY good, and addicting as well as their white moscato wine. We will be back!

Attended the Mothers Day activities at Cedar Lake Cellars and really enjoyed the food and the wonderful ambiance of the place. Although the place was really crowded, we had reservations for 15 of us and didn't have to wait for anything. The buffet line was...quick and well stocked (lobster Mac & Cheese was GREAT) and the dessert selection was varied and delicious. They had entertainment in all of the different areas with music that did not over-ride the ability to speak and have conversations. The "facilities" were clean, which was important. The area is really beautiful with the lake and the rock formations and well laid out making it easy for even the elderly members of our group to get around easily.More

I was the maid of honor in a wedding this past Saturday at cedar lakes... I must say that this use to be one of my favorite places to go for a nice quite time with friends or family, but that has since changed. The...ceremony went off without any issues and was beautiful with acknowledgement to the bride’s mother as well as the events specialist they brought into the venue to decorate.... the reception was a different story.... the dinner was a a sit down and one that was less then pleasurable.... my steak was rare (which I love my steak medium rare) and when I asked the server if they could cook it a little longer she told me it was fine and to eat it. The whole head tables steak was cold and rare as was multiple other tables.... the asparagus looked like they were frozen out of a bag. Every staff member that I encountered was rude and cold. When I went to the bar to get a glass of wine and each time was met with eye rolls and obvious annoyance. One of the times I asked for a glass of wine me and a groomsman were joking around with each other, which resulted in the bartender threatening to cut me off (still not sure why). When it came time for speeches nobody could hear the speeches due to the extremely loud music that was going on outside of the area we were in... and lastly while on Instagram to view the pictures from the wedding and to show my mom how beautiful everything was I came across a picture that’s tagged to Cedar Lake from an employee of the bride and grooms reception area with a tag of marriage is overrated...It is baffling to me that for such a beautiful place and what use to be one of my favorite places to go had such poor service and blatant disrespect towards guest. I have included screenshots of the Instagram message along with this young ladies response to me.More

The winery is gorgeous. The wine and the food is really good. If you go, you must try the wine slushy. Yum!

I have eaten here a number of times, dating back a few years. The cafe food has improved tremendously. (The Sunday brunch was always very good.) The food service during the day has always been a little haphazard. (Full service evenings it's great.) We ordered...and waited for our food at the outdoor counter – the only option. We shared a basket of pulled pork nachos that was delicious. My Caesar salad was very good. The wine slushes are really refreshing, if a little pricey. I'd gladly forego the included wine glass if they offered it without!More

It was a hot day, but our niece and her husband recommended this outdoor winery experience just outside of Wright City, MO. It reminded us of Gervasi winer in North Canton, Ohio, but not as upscale as Gervasi. It had a scenic pond with plenty...of those un-loveable Canada Geese! It also has a nice inside and outside-seating semi-upscale restaurant, but we couldn’t get a table out of the sun so we opted for a picnic-type table in the shade and went to a walk-up eats and drinks area where we got plenty of what we wanted...good wine and decent cheap eats. We’ll go back when we return to W City!More

We enjoyed a late afternoon lunch at Cedar Lake Cellars. The country venue is so beautiful - with a number of shaded areas to sit outside and enjoy your meal with a glass of wine. We each tried something different. I had the strawberry wine...slush, mom tried a glass of Riesling and hubby tried a Summer ale. We then made our way over to order food at the Smokehouse - pretzel bites with cheese, quinoa and kale salad, pulled pork sandwich with chips and a brisket sandwich with chips. All very good. It was a hot day so we were grateful for the containers of serve yourself ice water. There was a local band playing too. And a nice lake area with resident swan. Overall a really nice afternoon.More

As far as I'm concerned most wineries are pretty much the same. What sets this one apart is the music. On a recent visit there I was very pleasantly surprised to Billy Peek. Billy played for years with Chuck Berry and Rod Stewart which is...not surprising considering his talentMore
