Friendly staff, bright new decor, and great food...even as leftovers. Wish they weren’t out of margaritas.

Our table was along the wall with a built in bench seat, it was very comfortable. The seafood enchiladas was the best we had ever eaten, with real crab! The service was excellent, we look forward to going back to Don Luis.

Great food! The portions are LARGE and the seasoning was flavorful. Some dishes were a little too spicy, but still perfect. The chicken enchiladas was sooooo good and they packed them full of peppers and onions. Great find!

There were four of us gals who met for lunch at Don Luis. It was my first time there. We all liked what we had and would go back again.

Don Luis is one of the best Texmex food places in Billings. The menu has lots of choices other then Texmex so everyone will be happy. Mild salsa is served but spicy can be had for the asking. Didn't care to much for the corn...chips they were dry and wouldn't take salt, I think they were hor air or oven cooked. I'm sure they were healthy but then I dont want my Mexican food healthy. Beer and wine can be had but no hard liquor. The staff is happy to see.you and everyone is very freindly. Were very happy the this family owned restuarant is open again.More

This is the premier Mexican food restaurant in Billings. Luis passed away last year, but the family is keeping up tradition. Lots of menu choices. Friendly service. I always request that my rice is browned and crisp. They come through every time. Just typing this...review makes my mouth water.More

A friend and I stopped in for dinner. Street parking only if recall correctly. You get the complimentary chips & salsa but I think the menu said just the first basket...after which there'd be a charge. Regardless, our waitress didn't charge us for more. I...tried the taco & tamale combo..it was average tasting. My friend got an entree meal and his plate was pretty full. He passed off chunks of food onto my plate because he knew he wouldn't be able to finish it all. He had one of the fajitas plates. Again, the fajitas were just average tasting. The tortillas were good though! Quiet atmosphere inside and most patrons were taking home their leftovers. Our waitress was nice and our food hot. It was also pricey. Growing up in the southwest, I've come across unlimited Mexican restaurant options throughout my life. In my opinion, Mexican food in the southwest is much better tasting. This place isn't bad, but for me, I can't rate it average...anyone that has sample Mexican food in the southwest would most likely agree. But again, it not bad here.More

We decided to give this place a try because it was close to the hotel. It took a while to be seated and to get drinks. That would’ve been ok, but on the menu it says you get one basket of chips and one bowl...of salsa free, anything more was added to your bill. The basket of chips was less than average size of what you get at most Mexican restaurants. Part of the fun of eating Mexican is the chips and salsa. The chimichangas were huge and very tasty, as was the enchilada and hard tacos.More

Offering the usual favorite we've all come to know and love like fajitas and tacos and enchiladas, but with a twist -- spinach enchiladas are a new favorite! The food didn't take a long time to make and it was excellent! The portions are big,...so you can take some home for lunch the next day! The only downside was the chardonnay margarita -- what? Otherwise it was great food at a reasonable price.More
