I have to disagree with some reviewers...the wait isn't that bad. We had the chopped salad, and it was great, as was the coffee. Where can you buy 2 great coffees for $3.00? Definitely not Starbucks. I will say the place is hard to find and the TripAdvisor maps function is WAY off. We had to stop and ask (it's... More

The service was extremely slow! It was over 1.5 hrs for a simple lunch. We ended up taking it to go because our lunch break was well over by the time the food was done. Food was good but not worth the wait.

Great coffee and panini sandwiches, soups and salads too! Fresh ingredients and hometown flavor make this an excellent place to grab a coffee, a treat or some lunch.

Excellent coffee! I've has both their brewed coffee and a few lattes. Every single time they have been excellent! Service is friendly, the huckleberry items are fantastic and they offer a good selection of local tea and coffee for sale as well as lunch items!

A little on the expensive side. The service was slow, but the sandwich was good and I loved their homemade crackers...

At home, I fresh grind the beans & brew it in a French press. Oh boy! The coffee at the bistro is as good as home brew, which is the highest compliment I can give. The food is great also: tasty and fresh. But coffee this good is a hard-to-find diamond-in-the rough once you leave the larger cities.

A lovely cafe with great care and attention paid to their food. I had a huckleberry coffee cake and I had to go back for more. Sandwiches are delicious, however they take some time to prepare. This partly due to the fact that they are actually making food, as opposed to reheating prepared food. Don't come here if you are... More

We stopped here after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, and were glad we'd made a note of it and of the address. The Bistro is inside a Country West store and easy to miss. Don'! The sandwiches were excellent, made in our case with house-baked sourdough using local wheat...and local produce. Service is very friendly, and the prices are... More

Drove through small town of Plains and asked local for recommendation for lunch and they suggested the Dog Hill Bistro. We are really glad we stopped in because the food was great and made with love and care. They bake their bread themselves each day and all sandwiches and salads are grown locally. The paninis were delicious and so was... More

Breakfast and lunch only. Menu includes panini sandwiches, soup, salads, desserts. The gourmet coffee and teas are the best around. Friendly staff!
