Stopped off for a pint after a long walk. We had just missed the folk gig so the bar had emptied a little bit. Too early for the evening pizza menu so we decided to eat elsewhere (Sundays from 6pm according to the sign outside)....More

Called last week for dinner. We were sat near the bar area, unfortunately the only menu is written on boards around the bar so we were constantly bumped into as other diners were looking at it. This situation wasn't helped by the strange man who...More

Excellent meal last night - interesting, tasty food and great choice of beers. Fantastic value as always. We enjoyed the relaxed friendly atmosphere created by landlords Carl and Virginia - real characters who do a great job of welcoming everyone to their pub.

Nice pub, great beer & nice food, all in a loverly location, however.................................! All ruined by the superior, abrupt, sarcastic and rude couple who run the place and are clearly distainful about anyone not considered local (think a boorish version of Basil Fawlty). Those drinkers...More
