We build high expectations for the first time but from the moment we arrived the service was poor. the host was very rude and unpleasant. Inside the restaurant, our main waitress were pleasant and nice, but the other waiters who served us our food were...very unpleasant. The food was disappointing and served very slowly. The bottom line I give them the grade of ”c-”. By the way, they didn't check body heat or used alcogel as requested.More

I visited Michael Local Bistro with two of my children to celebrate my youngest son's birthday. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. First of all, the restaurant and its surroundings are absolutely beautiful - very green and warm and cozy. The menu...is varied, with some lovely options. Everything we chose, with the exception of roast beef, was unusual and delicious. The portions are relatively modest, and the prices are not, but we enjoyed ourselves, nonetheless. The two servers who attended to our table were pleasant and very efficient and warmly wished my son a happy birthday (I mentioned it when I made the reservation). Although the restaurant is subdued and I didnt expect a seranade of the birthday boy, I was surprised, however, that not even a small dessert was offered.More

The food is very good, creative and nicely served, small portions, but very tasty. The other guests at my table ordered meat dishes and were very pleased. I ordered the fish (לברק); made with a tomato sauce and one side dish of mashed potatoes. At...135 NIS it was more than I have ever paid for that dish!! The baked fish was skimpy and can with a small portion of mashed potatoes. We complained that the potatoes were too salty, and they brought us another portion of the exact same awful mashed potatoes!! The sign of a really good restaurant is not the fancy dishes it makes, but how well it makes the simple things like mashed potatoes. The managed did not attempt to compensate us in any way for the uneaten mashed potatoes and I left feeling hungry and cheated!! Not recommended and I will never go back there!!More

Here’s the truth: my wife and I drive 1.5h to eat here. We make a road trip out of it but the food is the main attraction. We sometimes come with the kids and enjoy just the same because the hospitality and service is great...too. But the food... oh my, the food. I haven’t eaten in all restaurants in Israel so I’ll be cautious “this could be the best restaurant in the country”. The use of in-season, local ingredients is better than any place I’ve been to. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Even the dishes that sound like something you’ve had before is are sure to leave you surprised by the depth of flavor the chef and his team are able to achieve. Every dish we ordered, the plate was sent back completely cleaned out “scarpetta” or as we say in Hebrew “lenagev”. Go and enjoy!More

For sure one of the best restaurants in Israel. For some reason they couldn't find our reservation, but they still kindly honored the fact that we have placed a reservation. Needless to say, the food is very good and unique compared to any other place...in Israel. The service was fine.More

Spectacular food! Probably the best scallops I had so far. Everything we ordered (at least half of the menu) was simply amazing. I don't know the chef Michael - but this guy is super creative and innovative. Even traditional dishes got his magic touch and...combined beautifully with Galilee fresh produce and flavours. The service was excellent as well as the wine selection. This is a rare gem in this area. It's the kind of restaurants you would expect to find only in Tel Aviv.... so happy we live not too far ;-)More

Eating here is an wonderful experience. The menu is varied and each dish is a culinary experience. Delicate flavors. The service was exceptional and professional, not the typical Israeli service. Appearance of the food on the plate is very good. Prices here are expensive, but...reasonable considering the size of the portions and the quality of the food.More
