I met an old friend for lunch here, neither of us had been before but it was a convenient 'meet-in-the-middle' kind of place. Very simple, fishcakes for two which were very good and two cappuccinos, a little on the weak side and a bit tepid....More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch in early September 2018, and really enjoyed our meal. We had only one course each, but both dishes were good, as was the service. The one down-side of our visit was that the gents toliet clearly hadn't...More

Clean but sticky tables were a little off putting and the arrangement of (bar) tables meant that the bar area is a little lifeless. Food was ok, but the menu is neither here nor there with a few too many dishes to give comfort that...More

Unfortunately disappointed with the pizzas - although nice base and sauce, the milanaise pizza had no chorizo very sparse with the ham. Very over priced. It is a shame - when we visited another night the food was delicious and enjoyable.

I like the Red Lion at Babcary - the furnishings are comfortable and there is a lovely cosy atmosphere - well kept real ales. The young staff were helpful and attentive. I ordered a Rock Salmon (a.k.a. Huss or Dogfish) Curry which was served with...More

This is an attractive Gastro pub with good service, tasty food and good range of beers. It is more restaurant than old fashioned pub though with a small bar area compared to the various eating areas. Popped in to the red lion for a bar...More

This menu is rather expensive but unfortunately the food doesn't quite justify the prices. With some very good places to eat in the locality, for a lot less, to charge this kind of money the fare really needs to be outstanding. Unfortunately it isn't. The...More

Love dogs ! Only in the main bar area and the garden, unfortunately not the bedrooms, or the restaurant, but you can eat and drink in the bar and garden 🐶
