Walk in and there are home made baked goods everywhere, muffins, pies, etc. I never got to try them because I was so stuffed on my lunch. Excellent prime rib for only 16.95, mashed potatoes and gravy complimented prefect. We had the famous shrimp cocktail which was quite large for only 4$! I'd definitely go back, in fact, we did... We stopped here after wandering Freemont street not sure which restaurant to chose. So glad we did. It takes you back in time, the whole ambiance of the restaurant , with the stools at the bar, the booths, the waitress dressed in uniform from the 50/60's. The food was great. There were 4 of us and each of our meals... More

This place is an iconic gem! Wow! Absolutely loved my experience the first time and so I went back for a second to do it all over again! Shrimp Cocktail from the days of The Queen Mary, Grandma's pies, home-cooked mashed potatoes and gravy, ginormous pancakes with maple syrup, fried zucchini! You HAVE to stop here when in Las Vegas!

Last week I went to Dupars on my annual trip to Vegas. I intended to get pancakes but remembered that great New York steak I had last year, so I ordered it again. Great choice, so good I went back the next nite and had the same thing! Jack the waiter was so nice and attentive but not overly so.... More

We went to Du-Par's to have a shrimp cocktail. They were large and had awesome cocktail sauce. A tiny price! We also had the fish and chips. Halibut with a tasty light breading. The fish and fries were not greasy at all. Excellent choice!

I had the salad, sandwich and slice of pie combo before the show. Quick and friendly service. The fries were good. The egg custard pie was ok, nothing special.

Great food at a great price. Much better than most other options downtown (long wait for sub-par food) Great old school diner. Great breakfast (best pancakes ever) and dinner is equally delicious. My husband got a steak and it was just as good if not better than a more expensive place we had eaten the night before. The pie after... More

DuPar's is not cheap. But, everything is worth a little extra. I like the chicken-fried chicken, either on the special, or as breakfast, with eggs, etc. The pancakes are said to be the best, but I've never tried them. Homemade fruit spread for your toast or biscuits is spectacular. The $3.95 shrimp cocktail is a beer drinker's staple.

They are supposed to serve the "best shrimp cocktail"- it's plain shrimps which were just defrosted with some ketchup style dressing. Just ok, not great, certainly not the best. Had a NY Steak for main and ordered it medium rare. Arrived well done, tough and uneven cut thickness like a apprentice did the cutting and cooking. We were a party... More

Was staying at The D Hotel but their breakfast does not open til 8am on Sundays and I was being picked up at 7am for a hike to the Valley of Fire. Du Pars is located inside the Golden Gate hotel & casino but you can access it from the West-most end of Fremont St, opposite the Plaza hotel. It... More
