Being from Texas, and also being the former owner of a BBQ food service operation, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this place for lunch. I expected to be disappointed, but I wasn't. I had their 2 meat combo plate: brisket with the Jalapeno Cheddar sausage, along with 2 sides, macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw. I must say the... More

Having a small party at our house and wanted to serve BBQ. So I went online to check the menu out. Called up the location but they do not serve the food to go as depicted on the menu So that was frustrating, would have been easier to go to the location and order but I was trying to save... More

The bbq place was actually decent (I'm not a meat eater)! My recommendations: the quarter plate with cheddar sausage, the 1 meat ribs, and the western sandwich. Our food was so hot and steaming I had to wait for a good 10-15 mins for my first bite! The free soft serve was s wonderful surprise!

Vegans, beware: This is a meat-eaters place! Our big piles of meat included very tender and flavorful beef brisket, and equally tender but not as flavorful pulled pork. The coleslaw was remarkably good, but the jalapeño beans needed some seasoning in addition to the nice pepper bite. We also enjoyed trying the various sauces, and favored the hot and spicy.... More

Well on a positive note it is one of the few places you can smoke, eat, drink and gamble on the bar side. The restaurant side looks like a dingy fast food place in the 50's. The brisket is ok, pulled pork did not smell fresh the one time I tried it, and ribs a bit dry. They claim they... More

Many years ago I went to many eateries in Reno rating best Mexican, Chinese and BBQ. Dickey won and was my close #1. I wanted BBQ ribs, recently and give my #1 place a try. I ask for the ribs 'dry' no sauce on then so I can get the flavor of the rub and smoke, fried okra and BBQ... More

Very good place for a quick bite to eat. Standard menu items but all prepared very well and they have tubs of sauce on the side so you can drench your BBQ to your hearts content! We really enjoyed the ribs as they were so tender that my SO could eat them with no problems! Sides were just okay nothing... More

Very good Pulled Pork and Beef Brisket! The ribs fall off the bone, and the Green Beans with bacon and Mac & cheese are great. Fast service and clean restaurant. It is a Franchise, so no menu changes--ever. but other than that, really good food

Great barbecue. We only had small sandwiches, but the brisket sandwich and the barbecue turkey sandwich were both outstanding. The brisket was moist and tender as was the turkey. The sauce selection as great as well. Look forward to my next visit for a whole lunch.

I made a quick trip to Reno and stopped at Dickey's. I ordered the sausage with baked beans and coleslaw. The guy behind the service counter seemed to be more involved with the young lady behind the service counter than he was with my lunch. The sausage was not cooked enough, in fact, it was barely beyond warm and it... More
