This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants, the food is always Exellent, the staff is always super friendly and accommodating, I simply have never had a bad experience. I've been a 6-7 time a year customer since 2005 and have eaten at about every restaurant in a 25 mile radius and Homestead is miles ahead of any other spot.... More
Excellent meal and service. The special, which was stuffed shrimp, was excellent. The Seafood Fettuccine was also excellent. Found the dining room rather cold. We were there early so it may warm up later.
I'm sure on a slow evening there is more care taken with your order and with refilling your water glasses, however on this evening, we arrived, no one in line to be seated, the male host was on a personal phone call and clearly had no intention of seeing us to a seat. The waitresses were short staffed, attending to... More
It had been at least a dozen years since I last visited the area, but one of my favorites, The Homestead, was still around and I was looking forward to dining at a place so full with good memories. Full menu, wine list;Wonderful ambiance. Menu consists of palate pleasing culinary delights and great desserts as well. Very 'homey', warm surroundings. An 'eating place' not to be missed in central New Hampshire close to Newfound Lake.
My husband and I have been spending time in Bristol every summer for 15 years. Once each year we go to the Homestead, and it never disappoints. The flavored martinis are great, the homey, New England food is consistently good and the prices are reasonable. They serve a cottage cheese spread with crackers before the meal, and offer a sweet... We love this place. Every time we come here we're welcomed like old friends. The food is fantastic and they'll change a meal to suit your request. The menu is tavern type to high-end.
We took a small Family Group, including (2) young, well behaved Grandchildren... to "The Homestead" in Bristol, NH, this (2016) Labor Day weekend. I made a phone reservation for eight... requested a private setting... and was treated as an old friend, on the phone. We had a wonderful quiet area... with only a few tables... and every meal drew great... More
