The place is reminiscent of a city sidewalk experience with a simple menu. Baked beans, handmade relishes, mustards and ketchups (a few varieties to choose from), at reasonable prices. Dogs can be ordered steamed or grilled, with chips or a can of soda on the side. Unfortunately the wait can easily be 20 minutes or longer for a few hot... More

I stopped here while in the mill and ordered the house dog lunch special. The dogs were delicious but I had to wait about 15 minutes. There were just a few customers at the time. I recommend it but not if you're in a hurry. The owner is a nice guy

Typical hot dog stand, but the owner just makes it spectacular. He'll make you fresh grilled dogs cooked to perfection, and tell you about any of his vast array of toppings that you put on yourself. (He makes many of them himself.) The prices, produnt, and service can't be beat.

If you are looking for a hot dog and want it hot, fresh on a steamed roll, this is the place. They make their own relish which is to die for. I understand the owner is ill and may be shut down for a while. That would be sad

I like that they have vegan dogs and gluten free bun options and a portable stand in downtown certain days of the week. Because it is one guy running the whole thing, things break down if there are more than two customers. He could really use an assistant. Cash would make the transaction much quicker.

Owner is very friendly and has a great selection of dogs and condiments. He has a card so if you have 9 dogs the 10th one is free.

I grew up in Chicago, and it's tough to find a good Chicago Style hot dog anywhere else. This, however, was a welcome taste of home! Don't be fooled by the small kitchen. Hot dogs are locally sourced and rival Vienna Beef, poppy buns from Chicago, and all the fixings. They also have a huge selection of locally made condiments... More

I'm not really a conoissseur of fine hot dogs but I'd give these at least an A-. To me a dog is a dog, but the relish selection, home made ketchup, and gourmet mustards hide any misgivings I may have about the main course.

As a Dover resident love to go to there out door stand and have a dog with all the trimmings for a pleasant out door lunch in the summer. They also have an indoor location at the end of Washington street that is open for breakfast and lunch.Nice people and a great Dover experience.

I eat about two hot dogs a year, typically at picnics but was visiting relatives in Dover and they took me to Downtown Dogs where most everything is home made and the quality of their food is amazing … fresh and simply delicious! Wish I lived closer because I'd definitely have more than two hot dogs a year!
